Braves 2015 season thread

Braves sent Phil Gosselin to the D-backs for Bronson Arroyo (currently recovering from Tommy John) and Touki Toussaint (one of their top prospects). It appears we just straight fleeced them, especially if Arroyo can pitch well upon his return

Big win tonight. Didn't see it, but I watched the highlights. A lot of manufactured runs and that's what I like to see.

AJ Pierzynski has been the steal of the offseason so far.

And I like the trade. Gosselin was a good utility bench player, but I doubt he was ever gonna be a starter for us with Peterson playing well, Simmons at short and Peraza coming up at some point.

Don't know if we'll get much out of Arroyo coming off of Tommy John, but if he's decent, a veteran in the rotation might come in handy, and getting a highly ranked prospect is great. Keep stocking the farm system.

Hopefully we can get some help in the bull pen for this season. Our bullpen has blew at least 10 games and we're only 2 games out of first.

I think Teheran's struggles are arm fatigue. I really think he will need TJ surgery soon.

How old is Uribe? And what about Johnson and Ciriaco? Is this Peraza kid that good? I gotta say that I like Jace on 2nd. Dude has played it like he owns it.

Uribe and Chris johnson are temporary. Peterson is our future 3B and Peraza is our future 2B. Probably not this year but next year Peterson and Peraza will be the starters. So Im just saying on Uribes off days we should play Peterson at 3rd some. Ciriaco looks like he will eventually be put in the OF(possibly CF)

Been really impressed with what Hart has done with his trades, first with Padres and now with Dbacks

Teheran with great day giving up only 1 hit over 7 innings. Pulled after Only 78 pitches put turned out to be great move as Ciriaco got pinch hit RBI

They've been playing Peraza in the OF in the minors this season. The team doesn't seem to think either Peterson or Peraza is a viable option at third. Pereza will probably be our left fielder.

Uribe will be gone at the end of the season, but we still have Chris Johnson for a couple of years, and I doubt we'll be able to move his contract. He'll probably be an expensive bench option or given the Dan Uggla treatment.

Ciriaco is a little too old to call him the future. He'll be 30 in September. He'll probably our 3B for the next couple of years though.

And hopefully today's game was a sign of things to come for Teheran.

All things considered with Teheran struggling all season, Wood struggling out of the gate, starting the season with Cahill and Stults in the rotation and now using two rookies in the 4 and 5 spots in the rotation and having no middle relief whatsoever and we're .500 and only 2 games back through 70 games, I love this team so far.

Not sure what the Dback were thinking here. They don't really need salary relief as they just signed a Billion dollar TV deal.
