Longtime - I know its confusing - even the guys reporting the deal say the same thing.

Rams send Eagles Bradford and a 5th rounder ( the 5th becomes a 4th or a 3rd depending on Bradford's starts and health with the Eagles next year).

It will all be laid out for us by tomorrow!

Thanks RamCub. I think the deal is a great one for the Rams on a number of levels. It'll be interesting to see what transpired. It is good to know we get our fourth rounder back this year that we lost in the Mark Barron (from Tampa) trade. And yes you can rip Sammie now that he is an Eagle without going to the Negativity thread.

Kudos to Snisher as well for pulling the trigger and really adding some needed changes to the offense. I believe the offense is now well on the way to becoming a force to match the prowess of the defense.

For Fishers sake we hope so!

You gotta love the way the writer at Turf Times put it...

If Bradford starts 8 games or more, Rams get Eagles 2016 2nd rounder. If he starts less, Philly gets Rams' 4th round. If he gets re-injured, Eagles get Rams' 3rd round pick. In other words, Rams are pretty much guaranteed to give up a 2016 NFL Draft pick.
Rams Trade Sam Bradford to Eagles for Nick Foles (UPDATED) - Turf Show Times

So in a nutshell, it's like this...

Sam starts in Philly for 8 games, the Eagles pay with a 2nd rounder next year...

Sam starts for 7 games or less and/or gets hurt, the Rams pay with either a 3rd or 4th rounder next year...

So as the sports writer summarizes, the Rams will most likely give up a 3rd or 4th... :pound:

Here's hoping this sports writer is wrong and Sam does well and starts 8 games next year.

Funny now how all the Sam haters will now be pulling for the dude to start at least 8 games next year!!!!

Am I right?

I believe I can go a little negative on Bradford now. The following rant is something I've mentioned before and all of us have alluded to over the years:

LACK OF LEADERSHIP

I give Snead and Fisher kudos for finally coming to their senses! Bradford's unwillingness to renegotiate when others who make less money on our team have done so was going to cost him DEARLY IN THE LOCKERROOM!!!

I remember going OFF 2-3 years ago. I gave up. It was not changing so what was I gonna do..

And then I went off last week. Hadn't truly spoke mind on him in sometime. It's almost like the Rams FO heard my shouting. :heh:

Either way, it's a fresh start for our organization! The leaders on offense will emerge and we have a lot more money to play with now too.

So, what happens to the conditional pick when the Eagles trade Bradford to move up in the draft? Does it disappear? Or does this indicate the Eagles fans are fooling themselves thinking this is a stepping stone to getting Mariota?

The reactions to this trade are pure comedy gold, especially on Facebook. Philly fans are REALLY angry.

Both my teams are benefiting from Kelly's "confidence", I'm loving this. First McCoy, now Bradford/Foles.

usually if they trade away Bradford they have to live to the agreement w/ the Rams. Unless there's an exception in the contract. I doubt there is tho.

Chip Kelly is receiving major heat from the Philly fans. There is a lot of Philly angst going on. Something about wringing the guy's neck and other niceties expounding enormously on the sports talk shows.

Good question, I would guess there is language in there protecting the Rams since the Rams have no control over that type of play...

That said, I would speculate the Rams would get the Eagles 2nd rounder next year by default...
