Junior Galette still wants to be back with Redskins

publicly regretting his decision to not take a deal with the Redskins, going so far as to say he’d accept an offer as soon as it was presented.

Now Galette tweeted the following recently:


Galette looked good with the Redskins a year ago after he rebounded from a pair of serious injuries. But Washington didn’t wait around on him, using free agency to add Pernell McPhee.

Defensive tackle Chris Baker has also recently said he wants a reunion with the Redskins.

At the least, both veterans are names to keep in mind in case the Redskins start getting hit with the injury bug again.


I'd be tempted to bring in Galette for a look, but Chris Baker's mouth didn't match his performance. I still cringe and the video of him and RJF running their mouth about owning the division while sitting in 2nd or 3rd place. Right or wrong they were constantly criticizing the coaching staff. No to Baker.

I say no to both. We have Mcgee coming back and Smith should be able to get pressure in the future. Our backups are fine right now.

McPhee doesn't do much for me, and we basically spent a 2nd round draft pick on a goal line fullback in Anderson. The D is ranked 2nd, so I don't want to do anything to rock the boat at this point, but if NO drags us and RK and PS still aren't getting home, I'd keep Galette in the roladex.

I say bring back both guys that were partly responsible for low 20 rankings in scoring and yards allowed defense. They were awesomely. Everybody else sucks.
