Pete...if you really are PM Pete Nice, let me just say that 3rd Base was fucking awful.

Pop Goes the Weasel? Mocking Van Winkle? That's the best you could do?

I did like your White Rapper show though. Hilarious.

You shut your fucking whore mouth...

The Cactus Cee/D was an absolute classic...

Actually, considering how I've gotten the vast majority of things right, that's a pretty good reason why.

Another reason is because teams that have terrible pitching, are injury prone, have streaky offenses (that's putting it generously), and only won 38% of their games to date..... don't win 60% of their games over 120 game stretches

last years angels. thank you very much for playing. yes, i will go on thinking my team will turn things around.

 Random Minor leagues I had never even heard of coming up and pitching better?

Suppose that really does sound like the 2012 Orioles..

It's just 1 start, calm down

That being said, I shudder to think the excitement oozing from HW on these boards if he did that for the Jays

Pedigree sure. I'm just talking in terms of what he is/has been so far.

And yeah, I agree. Cleveland did well in that deal, as did Cincy.

Arizona got fucked.

He was flat dominant in the PAC-10, and right on through the minors. Hiccup in a handful of innings in AZ, but nothing to make me change my mind on his future.

Snoogy, please be careful buying ungraded on ebay!!!
lot's of fake shit going around.

Also, any dealer won't care if you have them graded or not, it's only for retail or private buyer. Dealers are gonna offer you shit anyway.
Most of my stuff is gone, just saved some cards I like and a bunch of other memoribilia over the years.
mostly for future "guy room" use.

Yeah, I wouldn't ever sell to a dealer... No money there... I buy and sell almost exclusively off eBay... if I buy in a store, it's packs only...

The only stuff I really want to keep is Boston related... The rest is for moving when a player gets hot.. it's a hobby... I make enough extra money to pay for some free cards for myself..

The Angels had a better record than the Jays at this point, didn't actually win 90 games, and finished 4 games out of a playoff spot..... and that's the extreme exception to the rule

That's what you're going to go with?

So since the Angels managed to turn around their season last year (they still missed the playoffs), means that it's a guarantee that this year's Blue Jays will do the same?

I don't see the logic that would lead you to this conclusion

No, you shouldn't. He obviously has a great arm, and hasn't pitched nearly enough to pass any judgement on him for the long term

It's just that I saw a lot of those handful of innings in AZ, and they weren't pretty.

You started criticizing me for pointing out Jenkins is terrible

"Stop cherry picking his extensive minor league track record. What was his ERA in his 3 starts last year during garbage time?"

they won't cus VP says so

VP, PeteNYC etc and 110 years of baseball history and Math say so!

and MATH!

If the yankees play .464 ball for the rest of the year they win 81 games
If the Jays play .537 ball for the rest of the year they win 81 games.

The Jays haven't sow they can get near .400
And the Yankees haven't show they can get below .500

The math tells me that the Jays are done.
And the guys you keep saying will do better . who?!?!
They are pretty much what you expect...none of them are so far below norm that a giant streak of .450 BA 10Hr 30RBIs is coming.
