Then, then can we discuss the heroism of guys like Carl Pavano, Javier Vasquez, Ruben Sierra, Lance Berkman and Randy Winn... Guys who's careers just took off as soon as the donned the honorable pinstripes?

Steve Trout is raising his hand too!

You said they were phasing him out, which is just complete bull shit and you didnt know what you were talking about, all in an attempt to make that trade look possible. Its all right though, at least I got Rock to talk hockey with.

How do you phase a guy out on offense in hockey, let him take the most shots on net.

Ovechkin shots on goal...

10 - 368
11 - 367

votto's lack of power and rbi's is getting a bit disturbing i must say

Indeed.

But they'll come. And if he continues to get on base a 46% clip in the meantime?

I'll take it.

When I want hockey information, and people who know a lot more than anyone else here regarding hockey, I only go to Obx and Rock. And Rock was an ECL Player.

His point production dropped by nearly 50% in just two seasons and his ice time dropped by 3.5 minutes per game...

It is what it is... I don't understand why you have to be such an annoying dick when you know exactly what I'm talking about.

His point production dropped because his goal percentage dropped to the lowest total of his career. In the 2010-2011 season his percentage was at .087, his career percentage is .125. That is goals divided by shots. Tells me he was pressing and taking bad shots that year. The next year he lowered his shots taken and brought his percentage back up to the norm.

As far as his minutes played, he played more minutes in the 10-11 season then he did in the 09-10 season so IDK what you are talking about there.

nope.. i don't think this roster is in first place at any point of any season but this one which is why when the regression does hit.. (and it will) i will be interested in what you guys post from that point. but until that point gets here have fun. enjoy. hump do all the things you do.. there's a lot more baseball to be played

Heat. I'm not a basher of you, but save yourself the stress if waiting for the Yankees to collapse, it's not happening

The AL east was supposed to be looking down, not UP at the Yankees in mid May before they got guys back.

Focus on a different team and hope they collapse

Just to make it to the ECHL is impressive. For a guy 300 lbs, you must have been pretty good on skates. I give credit when credits due. No way were you smoking a pack a day.

It's not the norm (cause it never happened prior to now) for him to miss the first two months of the season. So....we shall see.

Is it a cold weather thing? Maybe- check his numbers in April in California...they weren't so bad. If it's a cold thing, maybe he doesn't need time to heat up. Just saying. Bottom line is the Yankees are SO FAR Ahead of where you "knew they would be" and you are grasping.

"Bwahaha, the yankees are going to get Tex and Grandy back, they will drop like stones" No way those guys can replace Wells and Overbay!!"

don't make it seem they are "so far ahead of where i thought they would be" only... they are so far ahead of where anybody INCLUDING YOU thought they would be at this point. and you are humping the shit out of it. acting like you predicted it

That's because you are just focusing on offense. The 2 Main overachievers are Wells and Overbay. Both of which wont be relied on for the entire season..

Yankees Pitching has been above average and its not flukey..

Dirt - if the Yankees win this first game with that line up out there against a good Indians team, then count me as a believer of the "honor and tradition" stuff. It's like I'm looking at the Astros or Marlins line up.
