I get that... but #1, UW does not have NEAR the talent of Oregon, #2, don't play stupid.

Are you high? Many teams are going to the no huddle and with UW having a 5th year starting QB and a shit ton of depth on the line and receivers they have everything they need to run it. Will they be perfect with it? Of course not. This is the first year running it. You should expect mistakes. Way too many penalties tonight for one. At times they looked confused, but those were rare. They have a way to go to really get in the comfort zone of this new offense, but the results so far speak for themselves. UW was clearly the more conditioned team in that second half. With both teams running the hurry up you saw what Boise's lack of depth did to their D. They were tired and fell asleep mid way through the 3rd. UW's defense did looked gassed a bit in the 3rd, but that 4th down stop seemed to jazz them back up and they went off.

Whether any of us like the hurry up no huddle or not, it is here to stay for the time being. It's basketball on grass and QB's are now point guards. This is how the game is changing and if you don't change with it you end up with teams that are too gassed to play in the 3rd and 4th quarters. That's how Oregon has done what it has for the last several years. Welcome to football in the modern era.

Yep. Still very Sark pro-style offense. The up tempo worked well, even if it made us jumpy at times. But overall, worked great.

You could see how winded BSU D was on drives.

Think our D played well too. The LBs seemed to miss some obvious assignments in the first half, but settled down and played better in the 2nd.

That stadium was just flat out rocking tonight. Best atmosphere since the mid '90s easily. I heard the official paid attendance was 71,926 which is almost 2k over listed capacity. It was standing room only and it was in-fucking-credible. A game we won't forget for years to come.

Tonight's win was the worst loss in the Petersen era. The second worst loss was the UW game at the old stadium in '07. This is also the ONLY game since he came to Boise that a team has kept his offense out of the end zone. No other team has EVER done that. Chew on that for a while.
