To get it fixed or gtfo. These are his guys. This is his team. Win or lose your job. It's that simple.

Osborne says it's a matter of at least being competitive. This team aint competitive.

Bo's recruiting aint showing on the D line. You'd think the Huskers would have four studs in the stable for times like after Crick got hurt. I don't see it.

I agree. However with showings like this no other team is going to come take him off our hands. We have him on contract through 2015 so I don't foresee NU paying him off to go find a Paul Rhodes who can get more out of his talent that any D1 coach right now.

I thought the 'pundits' said NU was getting good recuiting talent. I'm going to destroy something if I see Thorell get burned again...seriously Cory Cooper is that bad that he can't beat out Thorell?

I'd rather be a mediocre team and program with morals and integrity than to have a coach like Saban/Brown/Miles/Petrino and...

I am not sold Bo is the problem...

08 D went from dead last to like 50th
09 D was #1
10 D was top 5
11 D sucks, but we are young, and honestly it looks like we have shit for athletes.

Give it a few more years. Bo was held down by Watson for the first 3 years....

That doesn't even make sense.....you're talking about defense, then say Bo was held down by Watson....

The 11 defense is all Bo's players, and as you posted, they suck, and "have shit for athletes".....

....but, it's all Watson's fault the D sucks and has "shit for athletes"?????? :noidea:

Ok, but I hardly see how blaming the former offensive coordinator for it is relevant....

These are Bo's first wave of players when he first took over the job. He was moving the pieces of the puzzle to salvage what he could. And everyone knows some recruits don't pan out the way they're hyped. Before you criticize his recruiting, give a few more years. He is putting up good class's, but some of these kids are just freshman. Look at Callahan's 05 class....majority of them sucked until their hidden talent appeared in 08 and 09. These kids on the team are young...

I think our problem is the coaching staff surrounding Bo. In 08 and 09 Bo was active with the defense, he was hands on. Now if you look at the sideline he is hands off which is making Carl Pelini look like the the problem. Bo is rolling into the HC position he was hired for. Honestly, we need to make a lot of moves, maybe wipe the slate clean. A lot of people on this staff are there because of friendship rather than actual coaching. Cotton shouldn't be an OLine coach, Raymond needs to go, etc etc

If we get rid of Bo than we aren't going anywhere anytime soon. Look at it like a wheel, it's broken, but fixable. You really only need to fix a few parts not take it completely off and get a new one. If you tell Bo to leave that's taking a step back for no reason.

So, Bo was able to find "hidden" talent out of Callahan's guys, but he can't find hidden talent out of the guys he recruited? Maybe there is no hidden talent to be exploited, just young men developing into studs if they have talent.....so far, clownahan maybe recruited defensive talent better than Pelini.....

Great point D3. Let's put this into a little bit of perspective....

How about we compare Bo to Dr. Tom and his record while head coach?

T.O. had essentially 25 seasons as head coach. Out of these 25 seasons, he never won less than 9 games, but didn't finish higher than 7th in the polls his first four years. Bo has also not won less than 9 games, yet has the team finished well below that in the polls. That part has me a bit concerned.

T.O. took the Huskers bowling every season. So has Bo. He who shall not be named ruined that streak...

TO had a 12-13 record in bowls (.480 win percentage). Bo has a 3-1 record in bowls, if counting the 2003 Alamo bowl (.750 win percentage).

If Bo has exactly the same record next year as he did this year, do you guys honestly believe TO would kick him to the curb after having a similar start that he did?

I wouldn't.

I would imagine that Bo was concerned enough about our offense to get involved, and therefore not have so much involvement with the defense. I would guess that will change now, that he has enough confidence in Beck and enough concern for the defense slipping off that he'll shift gears.

Now does that mean he has somewhat of a problem dealing with his big bro, and anyone else on the staff that aren't pulling their weight? Yeah, it does.

I don't think whether or not to keep Bo is the issue, but I think most would agree that his priorities need a second look.

Geesh, you people wear me out. Seriously talking about canning a coach who has resurrected a decimated program just because his group of under classmen can't win every week? I certainly hope that in the next couple of seasons you remember this shit when the ride really gets rolling.

It would help, maybe, if you stopped being a fan for a couple of minutes and actually look at the team and what has been accomplished.
