2016 NFL Mock Draft: Updated Projections

BR has Robert Nkemdiche falling to us at #21. Key word here is falling because he's a unique talent. He might take a tumble on draft day due to his off-the-field problems, which I believe are his and his brother's use of synthetic marijuana. If he does drop to us, that would be quite a coup. I think he'd be playing at DE rather than DT/NT because he weighs less than 300 pounds. But if somehow he's still on the board when we pick, he'd not only be a draft steal but fill a huge need.

I think Nkemdiche has lots of potential but his off field problems probably eliminates him from our team. I don't see SM taking a chance on him.

Breed, if Nke didn't have the off field issues he would have been a top 5 pick. If he somehow drop to us at #21 its a no brainer pick.

While in no way disagreeing with your opinion as you may be right and I know very little about Nke. That's kinda my point in comparing how Williams was written about last year and Nke is being written about this year. Why was Williams a no brainer top 5 pick last year and why is Nke this year?

Last year Williams was being written about as possibly the best player coming out of college regardless of position. IMO his career/accomplishments at USC in no way supported that. He was supposed to be some stud pass rusher. His pass rushing stats at SC sure didn't support that and his first year NFL pass rushing stats aren't supporting that opinion either. So where did it come from and more importantly, why was it so easily believed by so many NFL fans or even some NFL fans?

Now the same things seem to be being said about Nke. Why? It certainly can't be because of his 41 solo tackles, 40 asst tackles, 16 tackles for losses, 6 sacks, and 3 passes defensed in 29 games/3 years of play at Miss St. What does Nke have or what has he done to support what's being said/written about him?

Williams had no off filed problems last year plus he had the talent. Williams was a good pass rusher for a guy his size. Usually the best dlineamn in college gets drafted in the top 5. Again with Nke is his size and athletic ability that should make him a top pick.

Let me start off saying, I would love to get Ndemke at 21 but he was not the top defensive lineman in football and may be the best prospect...he was second team All-American which says at least two DTs were better. Leonard Williams was in that same exact boat.

From a potential issue with law enforcement, Galette's issue was more alarming than Nke's. From a could lead to unnecessary and negative publicity standpoint, Culliver's issue was more alarming than Nke.
