Livin' the dream over here!!!

And yeah, I know the media can be a pain in the arse. It takes a special skill to handle those guys. The Dark Lord does it best!
Yeah, BB is real good at handling these sports tards. Durryl Sutter is pretty good at shutting those wankers down too with his "I have an extra chromosome" act.

Started a riot by letting his emotions get the best of him too if I remember (reading it, cuz I'm too young) correctly.

Ties back to the whole French/English thing in Quebec. It's a very old story which I won't get into in detail on this board. Suffices to say he was a proud Frenchman. Politics aside, he was freakin' amazing!!!!!

My dad and I went to a Sox game against Oakland and Reggie who was at that time my favorite player was 5 feet from me and my dad asked him to sign a autograph for me. He turned and looked and said not in this ballpark.

I moved onto Butch Hobson who not only signed a auto for me but gave me a ball and took a pic with me.

Reggie was an ass about autographs. My dad took me to game in Baltimore, when Reggie was with the Yankees, he treated me the same way he did you.

I'll go with A-Rod

A-Rod did a lot of crappie things and deserves most of the criticism aimed his way. I was in a casino after a game here. There was another Yankees fan playing Hold Em at my table. Because he was wearing an A-Rod jersey, A-Rod walked up to him and signed his jersey. Then left for one of the high dollar tables.

I was thinking earlier today just how much of an asshole Rice is.

I have actually met him 3 times once as a kid and he was nothing but nice.

I still have the ball he signed for me. He does have that rep though of being a douche. Not sure why.

a-roid robbed MLB fans (mostly yankees) of $500million. you can't get much worse than that!

Hell, robbing the Yankees was perhaps the one thing he did that I could give him a thumbs up for.

Aside from his hostility to the media and fans, he was just a prick in general. He was known to be a selfish asshole long before the steriod debacle....

I wish I could post of clip of one of his all star appearance when during the announcnig of players, when everyone jogged and high fived the other All Stars on their way to standing in line, he just walked slowly (like some inner-city thug jay-walking) to his spot without even acknowledging a teammate....

Just because a dick gives money to charity, he's a good guy? The only thing he was probably thinking about was the tax break...

This is the myth promoted by the holier than thou pundits in the media who created the narrative for the herd mentality against Bonds. Let me show you this with an example from serial Bonds basher Jeff Pearlman in one of his reasons for the inveterate hatred against Bonds that other sports writers picked up:

"It actually was my first face-to-face encounter with Barry since I started working on "Love Me, Hate Me." I had seen him once before in the Giants clubhouse earlier in the 2005 season, but at that point I didn't feel comfortable approaching him. I wanted to have as much research under my belt as possible, so I could present myself as informed and hard-working when it came to all subjects Bonds. In other words, I didn't want to just go up to him and say, "Uh, I'm starting a book on you. Can we talk?" I felt like I had to have some substance behind the words.
Even though I assumed he wouldn't remember me, I'd actually interviewed Barry four or five times during my years at Sports Illustrated. During the 2000 season I even did a lengthy profile on him—the first time he talked to the magazine in seven years. We sat down for about an hour, and he was spectacular. Funny, charming, charismatic. In fact, when I handed in the piece my editor was very angry. His exact words, and I quote, were, "If you wanted to give Barry Bonds a blowjob, we could have flown him to New York." So I adjusted the story, which still was very positive"

"Funny, charming, charismatic" are indeed words that describe Bonds that those of us Giants fans in the Bay area know, until editors angrily changed the narrative and he suddenly became this "arrogant jerk," we all came to be informed by the holier than thou hypocrites in the media.

Yeah, directly causes a dude's death and then when asked about it later says that the Lord wants him to focus on himself now. Like he hasn't been doing that his whole life.
