Ryan Braun hands fucking down. No one else in the history of baseball went so far out of their way to ruin another man's life just to hide their own shit.

Agreed. He is the Lance Armstrong of baseball. An absolute piece of shit.

Don't get me wrong. I don't give a shit that he did roids. I don't really cared that he lied about it.

But to be willing to tell lies about a man that could ruin his livelihood. A man with a wife and kids. Braun couldn't even take his loophole and shut the fuck up. Had to go so far as insinuate that the lab rat guy tampered his sample due to anti-semitism,

Knowing he was lying his ass off when he said that.

I have never rooted for a career ending injury to any athlete ever.

Until now.

I don't support PED use but it is happening and I'm not blind to it. I hate Braun because he arrogantly denied it and then tried to destroy a man to keep his lie a secret. Then he got caught again. :L

He's a disgusting excuse for a human being. I don't care what happens to him but if he were injured or worse, I can't deny that I might smile a little.

Pretty hard to argue with that.

So Charlie Hustle bets against his own team, lies and denies, yet doesn't make the list? The guy is a definite top 10 asshole. A-Rod makes that list as well.

Did I say Bud Selig?

After a owner lockout and a heated labor dispute with the Players Union, he embraced the "Summer HR Derby" between Sammy Sosa and Mark Maguire, in which Maguire "stole" the Roger Maris' record of 61 HRs in a single season.

In 1998, McGwire and Sammy Sosa achieved national fame for their home run-hitting prowess in pursuit of Roger Maris' single season home run record; McGwire broke the record and hit 70 home runs that year.[2] Barry Bonds[3] now holds the record, after hitting 73 home runs during the 2001 season. In 2010, McGwire publicly admitted to using performance-enhancing drugs during a large portion of his career.

Bud used this platform to help bring back baseball's fleeting popularity and profits for the owners of his league. Bud continued to look the other way on PEDs for a long time. THIS Buds for YOU!

Met Willie Mays in person twice... I don't know if I'd go so far as "asshole" but he definitely thinks he's above everyone else. "Perfect" role model for Barry Bonds...

I think our perception changes once we actually meet some of these big leaguers while some have no problem hiding their true character.

Barry Bonds sent our beloved Pirates into complete oblivion for 21 years after he left.

Ownership was never going to pay him anyway. So he was gone no matter what.
But during that time of infamy the Pirates had plenty of grade A douchebags:

Brian Giles,
Jason Kendall
and
Derek Bell

I actually heard this guy bitch about the quality of the baseballs during BP time at PNC while he was there with Giants was Shawn Estes. It wasn't kidding around while out there he was actually along the fence talking to another person about the poor quality of baseballs for warmups.

But I think the biggest A-hole in our lifetimes in MLB history has to be Bud Selig.

lots of assholes, dicks and douchebags to go around in the history of this game, huh fellas. I had to read the whole thread and see some of the reasoning. Can't argue with a pretty good majority of the names. There are a few who I would have called just idiots or dumb hicks more than assholes. I'm surprised when we talk about the segregation of black players for all those years and the blatant racism that Kennesaw "Mountain" Landis' name doesn't pop up.
I would add Chone Figgins to the list too. I could somewhat tolerate a lack of ability but the total give-up attitude "grinds my gears", as Peter Griffin might say. Then a recent statement by him blaming the Mariners for pinch hitting for him late in a game early on by Griiffey Jr., no less was the cause of all his problems.

Easily Roger Clemens. He is the biggest douchebag in the history of all baseball douchebagness.
Says the guy with the pic of Retardlesburger for an avatar.
