You stated that players of Suh's caliber rarely walk. The best they came up with was Sanders who wasn't even a football player. Probably the best cover corner ever. Too bad it was at a time when the running game was a much bigger deal than it is now. Sanders was one hell of a liability in the running game. If anyone has a clip of him putting the hat on someone, I'd love to see it. (if he's ducking, it doesn't count)
Brees was coming off a serious shoulder injury. The Saints had nothing to lose, took the gamble, and hit the jackpot.
Peppers was past his prime and Williams was battling injuries.
I also realize, most arguing these players don't have the same opinion of Suh's talent that we do. If he hits the market, everyone will get a much better idea of how the rest of the league views him.
