Just thought of a way for the Big 12 to make mega bucks with their divisions. Since it's all about money these days, why not put your division names up for bidding wars for companies?

Example: Instead of Big 12 North and South Divisions, you have Big 12 All State Division and MasterCard Division.

Just sell the division names to business' for marketing purposes. You could probably make a lot of money.

Divisions are the completely wrong way to go. Just last year the evidence shows divisions can create great scheduling inequities...which lead to jaundiced division winners as evidenced by Iowa and Florida. The worst example has to be UCLA in 2011.

That's the point. The Big 12 gets blasted for not having a 13th game, nobody said the 13th game had to be good. Taking the best two teams means another tough game, while the SEC west gets to beat up on some SEC easy patsy. Ironically the Big 12 had the toughest, most honest conference schedule but the media and voters didn't deem it worthy. So lets make two divisions, and hope the playoff hopeful gets an easy big 12 title game.

best will be when #2 beats #1 and people start to question the purpose of a champ game. We have 0 evidence that the conference game would help getting people into the playoffs. Original report said 10% better odds based on a whole 2 years of data. It did forget there is 0 data on 10 team conference with a championship game. You want to get in the playoffs. Win your conference and schedule a solid OOC schedule, instead of trying to figure out a way to get a team with Incarnate Word on its schedule into the playoffs.

In the end each team will only not be playing 1 team in the conference so not a huge deal. Split the Texas teams down the middle.
