I am pretty confident the Cavs will make the finals, but they are far more likely to get upset in the East than they are to win the title.

My thoughts exactly. I give Toronto or even a healthy (Rose and Butler) team a better chance of beating Cleveland than I give Cleveland of beating GSW or SAS in the finals

there is already a Cleveland thread-- this is duplicative and stupid.

But yet you post on it?
Actually, it's quite different.
It's just a question to get people's opinion on 2 very likely scenarios.

I'll bet you that Wade plays in a conference Finals, before James wins a Finals ...

Obsessed much :laugh3:

Wiggys obsessed with the Heat.
My question in legit.
Are teams closer to knocking of the Cavs in the East vs Cavs knocking off the top dog of the West?

LOL...dude....cmon man....what like Whiteside being on his best behavior for a couple weeks and the Heat signing a washed up Joe Johnson and all of a sudden you think the Heat arent 100% completely and utterly decimated -and are a total NON FACTOR as long as Bosh is on the sidelines-- and even with Bosh the Heat is not a fly on the Cavs ass. Boston and Toronto would DEFINITELY beat them.

I mean- I am kinda thinking Bosh is coming back because of the Johnson signing- but if hes not- the absolute best thing the Heat could do is trade away everything not nailed down for picks and prospects and start over with a clean slate.

Maybe, maybe not.
I felt that way after the Bosh news, but then I've seen the games since.

Have you been watching Deng, Dragic and Whiteside?
Winslows getting better.
Have you ever seen or heard of Josh Richardson?

Heat, unlike the Cavs, seem to actually be able to function by mix and matching without their best player.

And you were drooling over the thought of Johnson to the Cavs a week ago.
Now he's washed up?

you know it, i know it, everyone knows it. The Heat are not winning a playoff series if Chris Bosh is on the sidelines.

I find the focus on the Cavs interesting. Do you think it is just a SportsHoopla thing because of guys like Wiggy ... or do you think NBA fans all over are so intensely focused on the Cavs ?

Has this happened with other teams ? Seems like there would be more discussion about the Warriors.

its everywhere man.....the thing is you just need perspective

honestly- RIGHT NOW- they are making it seem like it was worse than last year at this time

At this time LAST YEAR- the general consensus from the outsiders who dont know shit- was that Kevin Love was gone, the Cavs were NOT CLOSE to the #1 seed at this point and in fact were UNDER .500 as late as January- they had just made 2 big trades, David Blatt had never coached in the NBA before.

This year? The Cavs are right now the #1 seed--- this is AFTER:

-Thompson holding out all of camp
-LeBron getting injections in his back during camp
-Irving missing the first two months
-Shumpert missing the first two months
-Mozgov recovering slowly from offseason knee surgery
-Firing David Blatt...

DESPITE all that- right now the Cavs are sitting in the 1 seed----- are healthy--- While Boston and Toronto sat on their hands at the deadline and made no effort to make their teams better, while Chicago is decimated by injuries, while Chris Bosh might just be sidelined for his CAREER, while the Hawks were just shopping their ENTIRE team at the trade deadline.

If you would believe the media and the haters the Cavs are falling apart at the seems- and not the 700+ winning percentage team that is healthy and really trying to find the right chemistry and is BY FAR AND AWAY the only team coming out of the East.

If we have what we have now, healthy ( minus Bosh), I'd say we have an above average chance to advance.
Like I said, the others getting the opportunities are stepping up.
Whiteside is a monster.
Dragic/Wade are figuring it out ...
Deng is thriving at PF.

Our play since the all star break has been more exciting then before it.

Try actually watching the Heat before writing them off.
Did you watch the Warriors game?

Also as the Knicks broadcasters noted, defense travels. He talks shit without watching Heat games.
