I saw Andy Strickland tweet that not one single team has contacted Kyle Wellwood about a contract ... and the Wellwood camp has not gotten callbacks ... i thought he did enough late last season to salvage his career ... thats tough ... hope he doesnt go burger crazy

Well, they definitely need a centreman and BMo was very good last year and they sure missed him down the stretch when he got injured. I thnk if you can sign him for 1-1.25 million on a 1 year deal, do it.

He played well last year, I really liked what I saw from him. The big downside is that once the playoffs started he started getting pushed around way too much. I can't recall seeing anyone get knocked off of the puck that easily.

Geez when Scott Hannon & Shane O'Brien are the top defenseman left you know it's a weak UFA class. No wonder Garth has said he's going to make a trade for a defenseman.
