First...you have Bernard in there to block. Why? You have Hewitt and Hill who are much better blockers. If you are going to have Bernard in on 3rd down, he's got to have a passing route to run. Period.
Secondly...The middle and short outs are open all day long. Pitt is scared to death to get beat deep, and everyone is well off the LOS, yet nothing short. When they do...it's to Tate who forgets it's a quick out, and keeps running his route like a moron.
Lastly...4th and 4 in a tight game....you opt for a 50+ yard FG...dumb. If you want to win a big game, you have to go and win it. Quit playing to not lose, or to shift blame.
