The Chicago Bears are 13-1 at home vs the Vikings in the past 14 years. (winning the past 7 straight)
John Fox is 10-3 after buy weeks.
Jay Cutler is 6-0 against them at home.
All that is great... but it doesn't really mean much. (*except for the Cutler thing, but that could just be me?)
A.Peterson is back. And can be scary. Has been against the Bears in the past. Last week I believe he was held to 27 yards on all carries except for that one... that went for 60+. That's what makes AP scary. And with the noted run defense this team has (apparently they are among the worst in the league?) they are going to need to work together.
Bears O vs Vikings D
Protection is going to be very important this week. The Vikings are coming off a game in which hit Mathew Stafford 13 times and sacked him 7 times. Yikes. Regardless of what you think of Jay Cutler, they need to protect him and I'm hopeful that with the bye week and a healthy legged Cutler, Gase can create some moving pockets and Play Action that can get that pass rush off it's game.
J. Bushrod is NOT in the starting lineup as of now... is that good? Leno has played well in his absence.
BREAKING NEWS:
Mixup in the OLine:
LT Leno LG *Ducasse C Slauson RG *Omameh RT Long.
Grasu is listed as inactive with his neck injury... The OLine will be a group to watch!
Jeffery & Royal should be as healthy as they have been all year after the bye week. This could be a day we see a fully what this skill team can do. Jeffery, Royal, Forte, Bennett, Cutler... I'm excited what Gase can do with his full compliment of skill players.
