Also, the Bears' D, who was playing very well when healthy, is decimated with injuries, and is not as stout as it was earlier in the season.

So now, basically the defense sucks too.

I am no expert, by any means, but i LOOVE what I see from Trubisky. I see a very accurate thrower, with good mobility, good pocket presence, strong arm, and has moxie.

I am very happy with the pick, for a number of reasons.

1) I am well-aware that our WR corps was the worst in the league BEFORE we lost our top 2 receivers and top TE.

2) I don't give two fucks about a couple of mid-round picks, to get the franchise QB, that I think he WILL be. The media and you lemmings made that mole hill into a mountain.

3) If you have watched the games you'll know that the coaching staff hasn't even really let him play until the last couple of games. He had 7 attempts in a win FFS.

4) Kid can make any throw, is very accurate, and is a good to great athlete, on top of being a a good kid.

5) The Bears have gone my entire life without really taking any big chances on a QB, and were in their best draft position in my life to take one...and DID. Hallelujah.

6) The Bears have an archaic defensive-minded coach, and a very average OC. This will change this offseason, and like OP mentioned, there should be the pick of the litter for Bears' brass.

7) His name is not Eli Manning.

8) The kid is the first to show up at Halas Hall, and the last to leave.

9) He has showed me enough to know he will steadily improve, and in the coming years, he is going to r@pe the NFL in its butt.

10) The Giants suck.

His composure is what impresses me. He doesn't get rattled like some other rookies would do.

Okay, so what we have learned here today

We cant judge Mitch Trubinsky on how he actually plays football
We could if he got to actually play football and had WRs. The coaches and lack of WRs are holding back the truth biscut for now.

Id say thats a fair assumption

Are the Giants with a Top 3 pick appealing?

Does Bill Obrien get deservedly fired? the Texans with Watson would have to be a pretty appealing job

Im sure Jack Del Rio will get canned, the Raiders situation isnt terrible

I dont like Winston, but the Tampa job may appeal to some guys, like Gruden

Have you?

I watched my Eagles this past weekend "tune up" for the Hawks this week!
I have.

You got some dufus fellow Iggles fans that really make me look forward to Wentz' shitting the bed. Sucks, cuz I'll always root for Da Schwartz.

Based off rookie seasons.....Peyton Manning had a rough one and people never would have guessed he would have turned it around.

Not saying, Trubisky will ever reach those heights but he had a rough rookie season and he had some offensive talent. Yes, he threw 26 TD's but he also completed just 56% of his passes and tossed almost 30 INT's.

JDR fired Norton.....he'll get a pass and another season.

Next season he will need a big season or he's gone.

Will we get any surprise changes? It's not going to happen, but what if the Packers parted ways with Mike McCarthy? I think the line would probably be longer to ride Aaron Rodgers' coattails than it would be to give molding the Bears a shot. Guys like Jon Gruden would probably even consider coming back out of the booth to "coach" Rodgers.

If the Cowboys parted ways with Garrett? That's a close one. The Cowboys are closer to a Super Bowl than the Bears right now, but they've also got higher expectations and a meddling owner.

Lots of 'ifs' to consider. We should probably re-address this at season's end to see who all gets pink slips.
