THIS is the problem... we have hands down the worst D in the league. Forbes regularly gets beat like he stole something. He's responsible for BOTH of these losses. I'm very ready to put the bust label on his ass. Martin hasn't even sniffed the damn field. That's our 1 & 2 picks just twistin' in the wind.... time to fire Ron & Jack.... make it EB's team.... a real damn coach.

You didn't see Fuller and St. Juste get burned multiple times and Forrest 5 minutes late to plays? Forbes wasn't good either but this was a total break down of the defensive secondary.

I don't understand it.
EB comes off as being very strategic and methodical. 10 running plays is something Texas tech and Hawaii do.

Howell and Thomas showed up last night...that is for sure.

Howell is taking unnecessary sacks with games out of reach. I am concerned he is going to get injured sooner than later.

Physical Injury is one thing but you can mess the kids mind up that way.

That is the million dollar question. Three of the TD passes were against vets, not Forbes.. Guys were biting on double moves. Zone defense allows the chance to intercept a pass but Forbes had good coverage on one throw ..... missed the ball and then was out of position to make the tackle. Fuller tried to jump the route on another and the ball four inches over his hand allowing another explosive play.

You play zone with the idea that you are going to keep the ball in front of you and rally up to tackle. Not jump a route and let a guy get an explosive play.

Every year it takes several games until the defense relearns this. This should be the most STABLE part of the team. They have largely had the same people in basically the same defense.

Well Ridder is a #3 QB masquerading as a starter and the Giants don't have the offensive weapons for Jones to succeed.

I hear you...but

The bears had a fullback playing as RB as the 3 other rbs were hurt.
They were missing 3 starters in the secondary as well.

Again, this is insane. I do not understand or believe it. These are all 1st round draft picks who have been in the league for a while now. Mistakes happen, but they are getting gashed repeatedly it seems.

This isn't a top RB in the NFL with a top OLine either.

I think we will have to be patient with Forbes. He isn't a bust...BUT...I expected more at this point from a tackling perspective.

Are we missing Chris Harris that much? Wasn't he the DB coach for 3 years? He is with the Titans now.

Lat night was awful. After what Magic said something can be brewing. I'm not giving up on my team in Week 5. Cmon duke players have to play the game. It was bad all around. JDR is making changes way to late in the games. Its not about if RR is my guy or not. I said if we win 9 and a playoff win, I thought he should be safe. Of course, I could be wrong Yes it's still possible to get 9 wins. Duke are you giving up on the team this year?

As of right now yes. I don't think he gets fired during the season unless this continues for the next 3 weeks.
