Cooley said on Sheehan's podcast that Scott Turner is not good, AG is better than Robinson, and Wentz basically has no touch on the short routes. (Paraphrasing)

This I agree with.

Not trying to start a war here but I am confused by some of the posts here. There is a sliver of the fans/posters who literally have an excuse for everything regarding Wentz.

To clarify, the offensive struggles are NOT all Wentz's fault. The crappy season is NOT all Wentz's fault. The fact that we will have yet another losing season is NOT all Wentz's fault.

What I don't understand is the constant shift of the blame. Over the past 3 weeks, I have read the following excuses regarding QB play:

The OLine is bad
The playcalling has been bad
WRs are not running the proper route or catching the ball

There is SOME truth to those statements above; however, to absolve Wentz of his actions and continually blaming everything else is annoying.

Skinsdad and others have posted numerous clips of misreads, overthrows, and unnecessary sacks by Wentz. Wentz passed for 99 yards yesterday. That is unacceptable. At some point, you have to admit that Wentz is a substandard QB and not getting the job done. Stop making up excuses just to protect the insane predictions made in the off-season.

I think some of you are related to Wentz or you work for the Commanders.

This is between me and another poster Sportster. This was not aimed at you or the other posters.

I was called out, insulted, and told to leave the board several times because of what I said about Wentz. You are right as this is a message board but I was the only one attacked and literally told to leave multiple times. I am probably one of the nicest guys on here, but even I have my limits.

I get that, then address it to that person. :D

I don't think you meant dad, when you wrote that post.

As for the other person, in over 10 years I have never seen him change his mind.

Let's just say there is a truce....LOL

That being said, yeah, I think I was the only one personally attacked for saying the same things others did. But, because I am a nice guy, I was the one targeted and harassed. So yeah.....I am a little sour and I enjoy seeing Wentz fall on his face.

LOL, well there is no doubt you are ready with your Wentz bashing hammer at the first sign of error. I don't want to break the vows of your truce and as dad has pointed out on many occasions ... he does not apply the same requirements of Wentz as he who shall not be named 5 years later.

So I am going to duck out of the incoming or is that out going missile fire and let you two decided you can't agree. Actually I am going to go to a local sports bar tomorrow and watch he who shall not be named later and his Norseman go against those frolicking fish. I'll also watch Jacksonville because they have best uniforms in football.

You two play nice now .... or not.

He's not the main reason, but he's definitely on the list.

This is a good point. Kirbstreet said the same thing. a 48-yard FG is no chip shot being outside. yes, Slye should have hit the kick but considering the QB was Fields I can see why a punt would have made sense and try to back them up inside the 10. It would have been a 28-yard difference if the ball is downed inside the 10. The Bears would have had no TO's to drive to get a TD. Now if you are going against a good QB then you kick the FG to try to go up 8. I see this point b/c of the opposing teams QB and the distance of the FG.

Just watched the full game. Samuels drops were huge and the defnese still has a hard time getting off the field on 3rd down. The play calling on the redzone drive for the 2nd FG was horrible. Read option with Wentz on 2nd down is a horrific call. Then off course there is a false start penalty and make it 3rd and goal at the 10. The last play of the game was not a catch, and the ball should have been moved out from the one. Also, a lot of misses tackles that gave the Bears first downs.

We were fortunate to get the win. I thought the offense would have clicked this game and I was wrong.

No argument here about Scott Turner.
