LOL, well there is no doubt you are ready with your Wentz bashing hammer at the first sign of error. I don't want to break the vows of your truce and as dad has pointed out on many occasions ... he does not apply the same requirements of Wentz as he who shall not be named 5 years later.

So I am going to duck out of the incoming or is that out going missile fire and let you two decided you can't agree. Actually I am going to go to a local sports bar tomorrow and watch he who shall not be named later and his Norseman go against those frolicking fish. I'll also watch Jacksonville because they have best uniforms in football.

You two play nice now .... or not.

Have fun boss! Good luck to he who shall not be named and the legions of Ragnar. Also good luck against Michigan! Huge game.

Be safe brother!

After the first half of the Jags game and the 2nd half of the Lions game I thought we had ourselves an offense. Once the Lions blitzed us and the rest of the league saw that, everything changed. They knew we couldn't protect.

I gotta push back on the Fields thing. It's clear this defense has made strides. Davis and Sweat have picked up their play. BSJ on the outside is an improvement. It looks like Curl is comfortable again after missing time. Fuller is still stealing money. He'll be gone next year. The front four is getting home. That's really the key.

Wentz needs a clean pocket. I don't think he'll be here next year, but maybe a line of Leno, Schweitzer, Larsen, Cosmi, and Lucas allows him and this team a chance at a respectable finish to the season.

I like how Robinson falls forward and gets the tough short yardage, but putting AG on the shelf the entire first half was crazy to me.

A tell is when someone comes in the game and based on that you know if it's a pass or run. Cole can't block supposedly even though I saw him block last night. So when Cole is in the game, it screams to.the other team it's going to be a pass play. I really like Cole and hope they move forward with him. Logan doesn't look right, and the only reason Cole played was because Bates got hurt in warm-ups.

They cannot let Payne walk.

We basically fkd off our QB last night with that win, unless you think Cooper Rush is the real deal or you think you can fix Baker.
Every QB needs a run game. AG was aborted and all went to chit. Turner like Norv loves his passing game all though he is no Norv.

QUESTION: How do you blame Wentz when your O line has the 30th pass blocking win rate in the NFL??? Rivera killed us with his o-line moves in the offseason. Have ya'll SEEN Norwell? I don't get the calls for Wentz's head. He's running for his life every play back there.
If you are truly being unbiased and watching games Wentz cannot complete most easy passes with any kind of accuracy or consistency. He does make $28m dollars to do so. There are many reasons this team is awful but Wentz is a big contributor and it's showing. Yes the Oline, yes the OC and yes dropped passes contribute.

This I agree with.

Not trying to start a war here but I am confused by some of the posts here. There is a sliver of the fans/posters who literally have an excuse for everything regarding Wentz.

To clarify, the offensive struggles are NOT all Wentz's fault. The crappy season is NOT all Wentz's fault. The fact that we will have yet another losing season is NOT all Wentz's fault.

What I don't understand is the constant shift of the blame. Over the past 3 weeks, I have read the following excuses regarding QB play:

The OLine is bad
The playcalling has been bad
WRs are not running the proper route or catching the ball

There is SOME truth to those statements above; however, to absolve Wentz of his actions and continually blaming everything else is annoying.

Skinsdad and others have posted numerous clips of misreads, overthrows, and unnecessary sacks by Wentz. Wentz passed for 99 yards yesterday. That is unacceptable. At some point, you have to admit that Wentz is a substandard QB and not getting the job done. Stop making up excuses just to protect the insane predictions made in the off-season.

I think some of you are related to Wentz or you work for the Commanders.
What Duke is saying is that most coaches are trying to win. Ron Sticking with Wentz at this point is not giving yourself that opportunity and it's telling your other 52 players and fan base FU!

Norv used to run the ball though. I wouldn't mind airing it out with all the weapons we have. We just don't have the line to do it. We could if Ron would kick Cosmi inside and bench Norwell.

I completely disagree. When he's had time to throw, he's been effective. In addition, everyone knows when a QB gets hit a lot he gets happy feet. Our line has given up the most pressures in the NFL and you're asking for accuracy??? ....make it make sense.

Wentz is having the same problems here that he did in Philly and Indy: poor decision-making, unnecessary sacks, and a terrible completion rate. These are facts that can be looked up and confirmed. Our own coach claimed Wentz was the reason we are not competing with the rest of the NFC East. He tried to take it back but he obviously meant it or would not have said it.

Again, there is a reason why he is on his 3rd team in 3 years. Or are you saying that Philly and Indy made catastrophic mistakes in moving on from Wentz? Last time I checked, Philly is the best team in football and the Colts are improving and currently have the last AFC playoff spot.

Do you mean to say that he had terrible OLines in Philly and Indy as well?

I don't understand why we have fans/posters who continue to defend Wentz at all costs.

Didn't think I had to get that granular...
