But it was Mizzou that was ranked #1 until OU beat Mizzou in the Big 12 CC game, that's how KU ended up in the Orange Bowl...

Yeah, when OU crushed Mizzou in the Big 12 CCG, you're probably right, but I remember KU was ranked #1 or #2. I'm leaning towards #2 since you sound so certain lol.

What a joke that year was in college football. The year KU and MU both were #1 at one point. Wasn't that the year that USF also was eventually #2? I remember shortly after Dixon went down to Zona the rankings just went to shit, with random ass teams topping the ranks.

KU was ranked #2, the highest ever in school history.

guess you might be right, I don't know why I remember them being number one, probably because 1 and 2 were musical chairs that year

I remember everyone was saying KU didn't deserve their ranking because they didn't play Oklahoma or Texas that year. Yet they went to the Orange Bowl and beat the ACC champs, VTech.

It was also the year amutiger was running his mouth on the ESPN board. Was talking shit about how the Tigers were going to destroy the Sooners in the championship game. :pound:

I'll say this much about Baylor.......for maybe the first time EVER, they EXPECT TO WIN

This is huge......Lache Seastrunk honestly believes he can win the Heisman. How Art Briles isn't on the short list to be a HC at better programs is something I'll never understand.
