No More "Bullpen Failure" - maybe
I do expect much more out of Elvis next year and I think Odor will be fine at 2B. I still think Profar would have more upside than Roughned, but if he can't get healthy that won't matter.
Pretty much how I feel. Most people thought Mo was going to be something special. There might be a case for blaming the Cowboys for his lack of development though.
I get why they did it. They know they missed out on Patrick Peterson the year before. Mo was actually seen as the best defensive player in the draft by lots of folks that year. I honestly blame Mo more than I blame Jerry for that. Then again the Cowboys might just suck ass at developing young talent.
That could definitely be the case. Or it could be that "4" he scored on the Wonderlic test.
When you're team needs quality starters at 6 or more positions you don't trade 2 for 1 regardless of player or his position IMO.
You only do something like this when you're a player or two away from playing for all the marbles, and we can't even buy a seat to the league championship.
Jerry was/is/will be a joke as a GM for life; hopefully just his.

Oh, I have sen them draft a couple of players in the first 2 rounds that I would have gladly traded for one good player. lol
IDK. Think all this winning of late will give JD a false since of security of some sort. We will probably be out spent on about every FA. Don't really have many viable trade chips that I think JD will want to trade with. Don't want him to come back and say "you know Tepesch and Martinez weren't really all that bad" kinda thing. How come? I'm looking forward to it.
The news on Profar isn't anything to get enthused about, but other than this, it's going to be gangbusters IMO.
You do if he's supposed to be a generational talent. They hit on Bryant by trading picks to move up for him. They missed on Mo. It happens.
I asked this about Tepesch the other night so I will ask the same thing about Nick Martinez. In Martinez's last 9 starts his ERA is 3.48 and his WHIP is 1.24. Is that changing anyone's mind about considering Nick for next year's rotation?
This pitcher sucks...
