Denver beat Baltimore that year with first of Elway's many 4th quarter comebacks. His favorite team to victimize was the Cleveland Browns team that would ultimately become the Baltimore Ravens. Your Ravens will be luckly to finish 9-7 with the schedule you have.

Oh don't forget one of your top 2 wideouts is out the next 3 games due to his own player drilling him on a punt return. Your players need to look where their going otherwise they might injure another one of your players.

Don't forget that the Baltimore Colts were the reason why John Elway played for Denver. It was because they were so awful 1983 that John Elway did not want to play for them and their management was awful. Just watch the 30 for 30 on the ESPN Networks that is call from Elway to Marino. It is about the 1983 NFL Draft. It shows how the gm for the Baltimore Colts was and what other GMs want to avoid.

I think you need to give Frank Kush a little more credit for Elway not going to Baltimore....

I heard sprained MCL. Out 4-6 weeks. And, yeah, this beat's Danny's little mishap. Ravens just fell apart after 2 periods. But I guess they were just too gassed and tired to play........:lame:

I am not going to lie. I got a little worried for Jacoby Jones after that hit. He was not expecting to get touched at all. I am glad it is not too serious.

I wish no ill will on Jones, and am glad it's just a sprain. But dang, Ravens need to get over their SB hangover or it'll be a long season in Baltimore.

yea, the people of Denver do cave when it come to the NFL/business. They just give give give and the Bronco's owner just takes takes takes.

You've said some really idiotic things, but this has to be the most idiotic. Talk about completely misinformed. Yikes.

I also noticed on the re-watch it was a Raven that took out Micheal Oher too. And the multiple stupid 15-yard personal fouls certainly didn't help either. That defense literally fell apart. Any opponent up against the Ravens should win if they can get into their defense's head.

Congrats on the SB win boys.... Oh Wait?

We have 15 games left. Remember the Texans and Broncos beating us last year in the REGULAR SEASON?

Yeah me too... Your team played great @ home great job. Peyton looked great....turn the page it was the first game. So far as Boldin is concerned EVERYBODY who was a ravens fan loves Boldin.. Was he worth $6 million a year? As a Raven he was not. Ya can't base his year performance on one game. *SMH

BTW the Ravens are #1 in the AFCN! I mean after everybody lost yesterday...lol

ITS A LONG SEASON! Good Luck Boys!

The ravens could start 0-4 and they will still be riding that. Enjoy it, it is only good for a year at the most.

Also, 49-27, worst opening loss by a SB team EVER. Congrats one winning that SB and the hangover you guys are currently in.

Yeah, that AFC North looks really, really good right now, doesn't it? The Bengals still can't get out of their own way, the Browns are still putrid and have no qb, the Steelers offense was shut out at home for most of the game, and the Ravens just suffered the worst opening game loss by a Super Bowl champ ever.

On the flip side, the Chiefs looked impressive (I know, I know, it was the Jaguars, but still the Chiefs did to them what good teams are supposed to do to bad teams, crush them), the Raiders actually showed some fight (I was impressed with Prior, that team may steal a few wins this year), and of course we all already know what the Broncos did. Maybe the AFC West is finally starting back on the upswing.

Keep reminiscing about last season. It'll help the upcoming Ravens disappointment go down a lot easier....ha!

The 2012 season os over. It's in the past. We're in 2013 now, and so far, the Ravens suck in 2013:suds:

Seems like I remember somebody saying how great the AFC North was and how Peyton wouldn't survive against those great defenses yet the AFC West is 2-1 while the AFC North is 0-4 to open the season and that great Ravens defense just allowed the most points in Team History and it should have been even more points.

Now as for the Boldin comment I was just pointing towards that one game but that it was nice to see him have a big game after Ravens fans talked about how little he would be missed this season. He might not have helped the Ravens win on Thursday but he would have definitely at least helped the team. I know I know getting rid of him allowed the Ravens to get a couple of other players like Dumervil (his replacement on the Broncos had just as many sacks and his name is Ayers for a nice discounted price) or Huff (looked completely lost in the secondary). Money well spent Ravens.

I noticed Dumervil got the best of Julius Thomas, rather than any of our O-Lineman. Which fits his MO. Even so, Thomas only allowed him one sack.

The big takeaway though was how easily the Ravens defense just fell apart. They were making stupid plays and penalties that are clear indicators of an undisciplined unit. The team that looked the best was the Bengals out of the AFC North. They may well be the only team from that division to make it to the Dance if the Steelers and Ravens continue to play like they did this past week.

Definitely think the Bengals look like the only playoff team at this point. Obviously it is week one but their offense looks good and the defense has about the same unit that finished 6th in the NFL last season so I would expect a bounce back week for them.
