Is it bad that it was fun to watch boldin tear the packers apart? Yeah I am sure 49er fans can't stand that slow overrated WR

The Ravens are good at WR, but I sure would love to have a TE that can catch the ball.

The ravens could start 0-4 and they will still be riding that. Enjoy it, it is only good for a year at the most.

Also, 49-27, worst opening loss by a SB team EVER. Congrats one winning that SB and the hangover you guys are currently in.

I'll take a SB repeat and then a 75-3 drubbing opening game next year.

I'd say servicable at best, especially w/out Jacoby Jones for a few weeks. Not what I'd describe as "good". And they are definitely missing Pitta.

Plus that defense still needs a lot of work. They fell apart way too easily in the 3rd quarter. Brady, Rodgers, and maybe even Cutler and Stafford will pick that apart almost as easily as Manning did.

Good at WR? Torrey Smith looks like a 9-route guy and not much else. Jacoby Jones is out and even if he was in should never be considered a #2 receiver. Heck on the Broncos he would be a return man and that is about it with the group we have. So now comes in the undrafted rookie Marlon Brown who is decent but there is a reason he went undrafted. Stokley is a guy you just picked up off the street. He is good and enjoyed him as a Bronco but other than some over the middle stuff cannot be counted on for success.

Right now the Ravens offense looks like it has Torrey Smith going deep and check downs to the running backs as the offense at least in the passing side of it. They have nobody who can go over the middle with consistency and nobody to be that 3rd down target for Flacco. You have to remember the Broncos were missing their top 2 players on defense yet still held that Ravens offense in check pretty easily. Their points came off of two nice drives and a punt fumble by the Broncos. Not too good for so many being worried about the Broncos defense being able to do anything this year.

Yes...they are fine at WR. Young of course, but fine. Things obviously do not look as polished as they will by midseason, but WR really isn't a concern. TE is a huge concern. Dickson and Clark had at least 5 drops between them.

I guess this is where 2 people can look at the same thing and see two totally different things. Torrey Smith is more of a #2 receiver than a true #1. Jacoby Jones is a return man being asked to be a #2 (kind of reminds me of that guy in Chicago for a few years). Stokley is a decent veteran but just a few weeks ago he was sitting at home on the couch. Marlon Brown again he is a rookie and an undrafted rookie at that being asked to take on a big role. Just not seeing the talent in this group at all. They can be decent but there is nobody like what Boldin offered this offense last year in Flacco could just throw it up and know that there is a good chance he will catch it. There is nobody that he can trust in that way. Then yes you throw in the TE position and this whole group could be one of the worst in the NFL at least bottom 10 in the NFL.

We wouldn't be having this conversation if Pitta was healthy. It's easy to say what you are saying based off of the week 1 picture. We can take another look at the picture at the halfway point of the season.

Isn't it funny that Joe Flacco had only the 19th ranked completion percentage in the NFL WITH Anquan Boldin/Dennis Pitta/Torrey Smith/Ray Rice/Jacoby Jones?!?

LOL!!!

Sounds good. I think most though were saying this even before the showing in week one of who in the world is Flacco going to be throwing to. He had this problem in the preseason and it was supported during the first game. But like you said one week does not make a season so we shall see.

Fact is though that Pitta is NOT healthy, and is likely gone for the season. So playing "what-if's" there is useless. Fact is, Ravens took a step backwards in the receiver department this season, and it could cost them a few extra losses. I wouldn't be surprised if Cincy takes the division if what the Ravens displayed on Thursday continues through the season. I'm not saying they'll get blown out, but I can see that defense losing some winable games if they fall apart at the seams like they did against Denver. And they face a good number of QB's that can invoke the same response if they don't gain more discipline and stamina.

Are you saying that if Pitta was healthy, your secondary would not have given up 7 passing TD's?

:wtf2::omg:
