49 points isn't due simply to "mistakes". That's like saying the Titanic just hit a little bump. Ravens D was outclassed in the 2nd half.

If the Ravens defense was gassed then they have serious issues. They finished the game with nearly an 8 minute advantage in time of possession, had a 19-11 advantage in the first half, and allowed 3 consecutive touchdown drives to open the second half that covered 2:30, :40, and 2:29. Now I know they were playing at a altitude, none of those drives were time consuming, and considering the way they had dominated time of possession in the first half, the defense really had no reason to be gassed at that point.

I'd say they were more likely outclassed than gassed.

First touchdown drive of the 3rd quarter was the Broncos first possession. Was the Ravens d gassed right out of the locker room?

Second touchdown drive of the 3rd quarter came after the blocked punt and was two plays. Was that because the defense was gassed?

Third touchdown drive of the 3rd was a 9 play, 2 and a half minute drive. Ok, maybe they are getting gassed at this point.

BUT WAIT! After Denver took a 35-17 lead, the Ravens had another 3 and out. So now, suddenly this gassed Ravens d forced Denver to punt after 4 plays. How is that possible?

Then the Ravens punt after taking just a 1:30 off the clock, and that gassed defense forced a Broncos 3 and out. Were they not gassed anymore? I don't understand!

Maybe they were gassed in the 4th quarter on the Broncos last touchdown? That's gotta be it, even though their offense had put together 2 scoring drives around a Broncos 3 and out.

Yep, definitely not outclassed. Just gassed. I guess the Ravens are going to have to do better than an 8 minute edge in time of possession or that out of shape defense is going to get gassed.

Well if they're not, then it's going to be a LONG season for the Ravens as they look UP at the Steelers and Bengals in the standings. The grind of a 16 game regular season will only make things worse, especially considering the load of quality QB's the out of shape Ravens D will face this season. Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady must be drooling right about now

Hmmm.... Don't remember the Ravens being an expansion team. I always thought an already quality team moved to Baltimore from Cleveland and changed their name. Dang, I guess you learn something new every day.
