I think Nebraska over Wisky was more surprising than Illinios winning. Either way, great day.

Illinois is healthy so they're substantially better now so I tend to agree although the Huskers have some players and a few nice wins this year too. Either way it shows it can sometimes be an advantage to having a game under your belt

This is probably the worst game we have played since the opener. Seriously, it looks like someone drugged Nigel and Bronson.

Huskers D was has been pretty good the last 2 games. Badgers looked lost and didn't look very aggressive for most of the game. Turned the ball over too often as well.

good game ya fuckn Illini yas! :suds:

AT LEAST...
Iowa now has over a week to prepare for what's important...while eerbody else will be killing themselves looking to win a senseless, useless media spectacle tournament for the contributor class up until the last hour on selection Sunday. what a stupid crock of shit.

oh yes, and re: scUM/NW...
Coach Collins had it exactly (prophetically) right in the closing minutes of regulation when he was yelling "They don't want us to win" (about the refs and B1G powers-that-be) to his squad...cheap, shitty, obvious bs calls killed the Wildcats, not the Walverines.

Speaking for myself as a Nebraska Basketball fan, I would have no problem with Nebraska exhausting themselves entirely in the B1G tournament and actually winning a conference championship and then lose in the first round of the NCAA because the blew their load.

As a Nebraska Basketball fan, I'll take what I can get. But as a MSU fan, you have a slightly different and more privileged perspective. :suds:

That was a fantastic performance by Nebraska last night. They took that game from start to finish...props to those young men

hear ya and, believe me, I understand.
I was an MSU fan long before Izzo...lol...long before the B1G even had its own fuckn tourney.

speaking of which, MSU has only won the B1GT 4 times since 1998 (99', 00', 12' and 14') but would have copped dance invites those years, regardless. State's been to 18 straight dances and has done very well, for sure, but, it's my contention that we could have done better several of those years had our guys NOT been beat up, fucked up and tired as hell slugging it out in the goddamned B1GT. just saying.

good luck to yer fuckn Huskers :suds:

Are you saying this in terms of this year where Nebraska has to win the Big10 tourney to get in? Obviously a title then a first round loss would be good.

But if you know Nebraksa is already in the Big Dance, you would still prefer to have the Conference tourney success? That would be bold

I guess you could say that. If Nebraska was a lock for the NCAA tourney before the B1G tourney then yes, I wouldn't put as much emphasis on the B1G tournament championship. Keep in mind though that it's been decades since Nebraska has won so much as a conference tournament in basketball or football. So again, at this point, I'll take what I can get.

Hell, it's a treat just to even be mentioned in the NCAA tournament talk so I really don't know. If Nebraska was a lock for the tourney I could still see myself hoping that they gave everything the had in the B1G tourney knowing that worst case scenario we're still dancing.

Slow, sleepy first half. Need to step it up.

It's pretty late for them. Tremble seems to at least be back to normal though.

Just defensive about IU. Everyone has been talking shit this whole season and low and behold we win the conference outright by TWO games. "Weak" schedule or not, that says something about this team.

Indiana has a shot to be a 1 seed if they win the B1G

No Johnson

With Johnson out, that leaves basically one ball handler on the team. Also is a big loss defensively replacing Johnson with Zeisloft

Indiana playing blah away from home on big stage.

Let's see if they get it together down the stretch

Indiana is going to look sloppy until Robert Johnson comes back. With Blackmon and Johnson out, Indiana only has 1 ball handler.
