Michigan: 21-11 (12-8); 4-9 vs RPI top 50; Worst loss: at Ohio State (73)
I would say that the Big East and Big Ten are comparable this year. Whatever Butler is, Michigan should be no worse.
That's a great idea!! I don't get the UNC love. I actually agree on UVA, they've locked a 1 up imo but even if UNC wins tomorrow their reuse won't be as good as MSU if MSU wins out. UNC HS a better SOS and RPI but they're 4-5 vs the top 50. That's pretty terrible for a 1 seed. They've racked up a bunch of wins 51-100 but most of those aren't tourney teams. I think to be a 1 seed you need to have shown the ability to beat high quality teams consistentlyToo many idiots in college basketball broadcasting. I was watching a panel of them earlier and they insisted that Virginia and UNC both already had #1 seeds guaranteed, that even if Nova and Michigan State win their respective tournaments they'll be fighting each other for the last #1 seed. Then one idiot said "The ACC is just the strongest conference in the country, top to bottom. These two teams have already proven more than either Villanova or MSU will prove by winning their conference tournament."
So I was just sitting there thinking maybe next year during the regular season they should organize some kind of league crossover event to find out which conference is strongest from top to bottom. Maybe they can call it something cheesey like the B1G ACC challenge. Something like that should be able to easily show if winning one conference "proves" less than not winning the other.
