I still like an Iowa/MSU final I think but any of the top 6 could win it I think.

The top half to me is interesting. I think Iowa matches up better against Purdue, but Purdue matches up better against Indiana than Iowa does. If Purdue can beat Iowa, I like Purdue to beat Indiana, but if Iowa beats Purdue, I think Indiana beats Iowa. All that said, I think MSU takes the whole thing.

I agree on the matchups. Although I think Iowa matches up better with Indiana than Purdue does with Iowa. The Iowa Indiana games have been razor close. IF Iowa gets to the final against MSU then that's a great matchup for the Hawks. If it's MSU vs anyone else I'll take Sparty

When you doing your next bracketology E? Also was going to ask you what you thought Iowa's ceiling was for seeding. I'm thinking 6 is the basement but I'm torn on how high I think they could go if they won the B10. I want to say 3 but I could see a 2 potentially. They'd add 3 top 25 wins if they won the whole thing. Thoughts?

I might try and do one Wednesday, if not I'll definitely do a Friday bracket, with updates on Saturday and Sunday, until they are revealed on Selection Sunday.

As for Iowa, if they lost to Illinois/Minnesota, I could maybe see them on the 7 line, depending on what else happens during Championship week, but even that I would categorize as about a 10% possibility. 6 is a more realistic basement IMO. As for ceiling, I think a 3 seed is probably in line with what you would get. The problem with trying to get up to the 2 line is that the top 6/7 teams are all pretty comfortable with a 1 or 2 seed. I'd say Kansas is going to be the overall #1 no matter what happens this week. Nova is a lock for a 1/2 no matter what happens. I think UVA and OU are guaranteed no worse than 2 seeds. Same probably with UNC. Then you have the likes of MSU/Oregon/Xavier/Miami as well. So that's 9 teams that will be tough to push off the 1/2 line unless they were to all lose their first game of the conference tournament. So I'd say a 3 is a pretty good guess, but if there's one thing the committee does, it's that they have never put as much emphasis on the outcome of the B1G CG, like they have the Big East(former) and ACC. So who knows, wouldn't shock me if Iowa won the B1G and was a 4 seed, especially if MSU was in the final(as they'd probably already have them a 1 seed at that point)

Just got tickets for the semifinal games. Hopefully it's IU vs Purdue and Maryland vs MSU.

Surprised they aren't giving away tickets for free for #12 Illinois/#13 Minnesota and #11 Nebraska/#14 Rutgers games' on Wednesday. Those are four truly, truly awful teams.

True story. I wouldn't mind seeing Shields play in person but aside from that those are just awful games.

Yeah, from an individual standpoint there are some good players in those games, with Shields being one of them, along with Malcolm Hill from Illinois.

I wonder by the time the game starts if Minnesota will have any scholarship players left...down to 5 now. lol. Dumpster fire.

I think he was talking about at the stadium. The stands were pretty bare for a conference tournament game, even for double digit seeds.

I'm interested to see how many Iowa fans show up.
