This is the way they have played these past few weeks. Iowa could still win, but I figured it wasn't going to be the blowout it should have been.

What is interesting is that Iowa will probably play far better vs Purdue, if they win.

Id seriously be happier if he just sat out the last 3 minutes of games. It's just embarrassing how bad Iowa is in close games and it's all an extension of him.

It's seriously unreal. Youd think just blind luck would win you 50% of those games. Iowa is 4-10 in close games this year and 2 of those wins are over Minnesota and Drake.

lol on second to last possession I see him dribbling around thinking "o god here comes his awkward drive to nowhere" then he gives it up to Uthoff and I think "here comes the 3 and the lead" then Uthoff gives it back!!! And at that point I know it's hopeless. Gessell pulls up and shoots it like 6 feet left lol.

He's literally started for 4 straight years and has NEVER made a big play late. Not FTS, not a layup, not a jumper, not even an assist on a game winner. He dribbles for 28 seconds and then A Shoots an air ball B. Gets his shot blocked or C. Turns it over

They are lucky the season is over.....they are doing everything in their power to be a bubble team, but they ran out of games to lose.

The fall from being a #1 seed one month ago is just staggering.

Not, that the TERPS are doing the same thing as well...just not as spectacularly.

Illini have some talent and they're healthy now but when 2 guys score 53 of your teams 66 points it means the other guys choked. Gessell is just so fucking shitty late in games. I've seen it for 4 years now. It's almost comical

It's pretty easy. Iowa went from winning big to playing close games. Iowa can't win close games because their PG is fucking terrible in close games. GlThats pretty much the only difference. If Iowa doesn't play any close games in the tourney they'll be great. Good odds on that I'm sure lol

Man this is the least amount of college bball I have watched in 1 year since before I was 10 years old. No idea what's going on other than Illinois sucks and it's a dam disgrace. That and this year seems to be up for grabs for so many teams.
