MSU and MARYLAND (both already in the Dance and appropriately seeded) are going to absolutely kick the crap out of each other today -

yesterday, during the MSU/OSU game Denzel Valentine, Matt Costelo and Gaving Schilling all took way scarey falls that could have easily been catastrophic for MSU. But the mob and advertisers and tourney sponsors were happy so wtf's it matter, right?

Agreed! I have never been a fan of these conf tourney's for reason's like this. These things only benefit the bottom level teams that absolutely need either a miracle or one last chance to beat a good team to get into the big one. So do both of these teams w/nothing left to prove treat this as an exhibition game and take it easy? Probably not, but I for sure wouldn't risk my star players.

Anyways, great game again, MSU. You've totally owned us this year. Good luck to all teams still in it!

I would absolutely LOVE to see Izzo and/or Turgeon start their scrubs, sit back and let assistant coaches run the game - let everybody know that this game means nothing...snub those greedy fucks at the B1G.

How does Joe Lunardi have Michigan still out... but at the same time have Butler as an 8 seed???

Butler: 21-10 (10-9); 4-8 vs RPI top 50; Worst loss: at Marquette (108)

Michigan: 21-11 (12-8); 4-9 vs RPI top 50; Worst loss: at Ohio State (73)

I would say that the Big East and Big Ten are comparable this year. Whatever Butler is, Michigan should be no worse.

Butler is better than Michigan.

They struggled in a tougher conference. They looked really good out of conference. Even beat Purdue.

Not saying Michigan shouldn't be in. But Butler is more than deserving.

Michigan beat Purdue earlier too at home.

You can certainly make an argument that Butler is better with the eye test (that is subjective). But, looking at the raw numbers, they are similar.

I've paid zero attention to seeding because the bucks are out, but they have msu listed as a 2 seed. Does winning this tourney move them to a 1... or is it even worth worrying about?

I think there is a chance MSU gets a 1 seed but will depend on what happens with ACC Championship and if Villanova win today as well
