Misery just never has won very much in any sport from what I can recall.okay, according to Wikipedia, which is probably dated (but wont matter for those who left the conference)
Nebraska 80
A&m 61
Colorado 31
Missouri 13
#2 will happen IMHO. Wake Forest, Rutgers, Vandy, Colorado > TTech, Iowa State, Baylor, TCU, & K-State will be left out. Texas, OU, Okie Lite, Kansas and WVU will have a home...which is hysterical because Kansas is the worst P5 team in the nation.Truthfully my feeling is the B12 will do one of two things:
1) Gobble teams up from an existing P5 along with the other P5's to get 4/ 16 team mega conferences
OR
2) Get gobbled up by the rest of the P5 conferences with some of the teams getting left out in the cold thus getting to 4/ 16 team mega conferences
Just my
I just packed the hookers and coke in the trunk Maybe I should have packed them separate
Well son of a bitch. Who knew?False DII Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference and Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association invented them. SEC was the first to implement them.

In the meantime....... a few hours ago.....
......per FOX Sports' Tim Brando.....
.....Notre Dame is supposedly contemplating the idea of either full ACC membership or full B1G membership... whichever brings them more money.
FOX Sports’ Tim Brando Thinks Conference Realignment Could Be On The Horizon, Notre Dame A Key Piece
With NBC/Comcast currently in negotiations with the B1G..... the possibility of re-structuring the NBC-Notre Dame deal with full B1G membership sounds intriguing, and might be much more $$$ than the upcoming ACC-ESPN potential network deal.

What does ND get from the ACC? I believe they get $15M from NBC, which is less than the tier 1 rights in the B1G with the new deal.ND has a sweetheart deal with the ACC and NBC so I don't see them changing. They have been in a national championship game in the last 5 years and were close to a playoff birth this year.
Although the B1G is proving to be an easier path to the NCG then the ACC so that might be factoring but ND isn't going to have to play Clemson and FSU every year.
The Irish will keep all the money it makes from its independent television deal with NBC while the ACC will keep all football-related money generated by its contract with ESPN/ABC. That comes to about 80 percent of the league’s total television revenue. As an equal partner in all other sports, Notre Dame will get the same split of the rest of the money as everyone else in the league – or 1/15th of 20 percent.
They get to do whatever they want and also get conference play for all their other sports. The ACC relationship was all about finding a home for it's non-football sports (which is incredible hard to schedule as an independent), keeping the football independent and playing in a region that the school recruits a majority of it's STUDENTS.What does ND get from the ACC? Edit: They get nothing from football:
Answering some FAQs about ACC’s addition of Notre Dame |
They could keep Stanford and Navy if they went to the B1G, FSU and Florida play every year and Navy could easily be another non-conference game. They'd also restart some older rivalries like Michigan, Purdue, etc. and make a ton more money in the process. The B1G could provide a home for ALL their other sports as well (no hockey in the ACC). It's a natural fit, and should have happened years ago. I think the money wins out on this one. They get to do whatever they want and also get conference play for all their other sports. ND absolutely does not want to give up games like Stanford and Navy which would become difficult to keep if they went into a conference.
What the ACC offers is autonomy for the football program.
