It seems like adding either of these teams would be a disaster for all non football teams in the league. Probably the same issue with any of the Florida teams as well.

I'm not being sarcastic when I say this either. But, I think the other 8 should 100% defer to Texas and Oklahoma to decide whether to increase the conference number, to how many, and who should be invited. OU and Texas are the two that are critical to conference survival, not any of the rest. No other conference is courting any of the other 8.

The Florida schools make no sense, why grab the 4th best school in a state? UConn would be a no brainer if they weren't so far from the footprint of the big 12. BYU, Colorado State, and cincy make the most sense.
