LOL @ tejas having to gobble up more mid-majors to keep their shit-show going.
LOL at Nebraska never having to worry about qualifying for the playoff. Run along now, Iowa 2.0.....

does it really matter? the SEC west feeds on some crap SEC east team usually. More often than not the Big ten west team will suck also. Play any game, get to 13 if you can.
I would not put too much stock in anything CFP says or does prior to making selections. There is no written formula, so you have no idea how they will value the different components that make up a resume in any particular year.
11-14 since the playoff started vs 15-11? What does that make Texas, ISU?LOL at Nebraska never having to worry about qualifying for the playoff. Run along now, Iowa 2.0.....

How many years will you keep up with the "Yeah, we sucked, but we'll get better...but not you, you'll suck forever." BS?We have sucked, no doubt. But we'll be back. Ya'll are fucked forever, unless the B1G starts allowing unlimited scholarships for partial qualifiers, along with the NCAA giving Ohio State, Michigan, MSU and Wisconsin the death penalty.

I put my belief in that they will try to spread the wealth amongst conferences. Hence avoiding putting two teams from the same conference in if they can.
I.E. (11-1) Oklahoma over (12-1) Iowa. Iowa had the better loss (by far) but the Big 10 already had a rep.
(11-1) Oklahoma over (11-2) Stanford. Oklahoma had one less loss and the Big 12 got passed over in 2014.
It worked out as an easy choice for the committee, but had Stanford had the 12th win, they would have gotten the invite.
That extra win coupled with a conference championship will always carry weight.

The truth is we do not know. Stanford had a better SOS, so that is highly likely. The real interesting scenario would not have been if Stanford, OU, and Iowa were all 1 loss conference champs. That would have tested the theory, because Iowa had a poor SOS. Soi far it is has been relatively easy to make the selections. We wont really find out until there is a season with something like 5 or more 1 loss teams or less than 2 1 loss team teams.
Fixed....
Ok so move okst East and Kansas West......I just think TX and OK need to be broken up for balance. That was my original alignment too.... but I realized Oklahoma needs to play both Texas and Oklahoma State every season..... ONE annually protected divisional cross-over is doable... but two annual cross-overs.... not so much..... so..... I place Oklahoma into the west with Texas.

Plus, having two Texas teams in each division is an important concept, especially for recruiting.... thus, the divisional members would want a guarantee of playing two Texas schools each season.

I agree...but a 1 loss Baylor, TCU, WVA don't get in. JMOI still think a 1 loss or undefeated OU or Texas gets in regardless of whether they expand or not though.
I think conferences that have parity are going to be at a great disadvantage over those that don't...even if that parity is very good. Mainly because of the difficulty in not losing a couple of games. I hope not, but it sure looks that way.I put my belief in that they will try to spread the wealth amongst conferences.
