Plenty of talent though on the line. The reason the run defense was bad last year was because we played a 2-4-5 to much last season and never went to 4 down fronts. Trust me Gore won't have a field day. Your underrated our defense we have so many play makers and people with ball skills.

Since we have got back to our power run game using traps, our running game has been awesome. Zona has played teams that do not have good running games. The teams are ranked 29,20,26,23,14. So the best run team they have faced is Carolina, who is league average. Rams, lions, saints, and Tampa are all bottom third. 49ers are ranked 5th right now. A little difference of talent there.

While Washington is quicker, more of a force and is the best pass rushing MLB in the league, he has improved his coverage and added perfect weight to be an even better run stopper. Look at how well the defense played against the Panthers in Washington's return? He's a force and a glue guy. Bowman and Willis rack up tackles because teams double your defensive line.
