If the ball hits your hands, it should be caught! pretty simple logic! Someone should tell Tavon this!

Maybe McRoberts can teach him in trade for punt return lessons.

and to think they could've stayed put and taken Hopkins at 16 and kept their 2nd round pick:doh:

You can play that game forever with any team. Every team passed on Hopkins at least once.

I still say try the Bills to see if they would swap Watkins for Austin. You might take a hit this year (Watkins is dealing with pain in his surgically repaired foot), but the outlook beyond this year would be much better IMO. The Bills might be frustrated enough with Watkins' injuries to bite.

The more I read about this little turd, the more I get enraged that the Rams' FO thought this much of Austin to give him any extension let alone of the magnitude that they did. What a damn crook this little bastard now is in my mind.

The NFL's Worst Wide Receiver, for Now

I don't fault Austin for taking the money at all. It's the front office that I place the blame on for putting the team in the situation to begin with. No way should this guy have been given anywhere close to that type of contract.

Tavon usually drops more than he catches! :L.... and they always throw to him on 3rd and long situations! Only to result in a Johnny Hecker punt!

It's the offensive play calling (pun intended). 3rd and long, throw short to Austin hasn't worked for several years, but let's keep calling it just in case it does. Austin needs to be used as a slot receiver, not out wide. Occasionally using him out of the backfield works, but putting him back there is a tell to the defense as to who is getting the ball. Start the formation with him in the slot, then motion him to the backfield or out wide if that's what the play calls for.
