I don't get why you want to burn more pitchers in a game that is a 99% loss. Let him eat up as many innings as he possibly can. The score matters very little.

I said that after it was 3-0…. Now it makes 100% sense to keep them in there

Ok, but pulling a pitcher down 3-0 with 1 out in the first is still a move you do to lose your job. The position we're in with injuries and facing the best team in the game sucks, but making it worse isn't the fix.

Ok, but pulling a pitcher down 3-0 with 1 out in the first is still a move you do to lose your job. The position we're in with injuries and facing the best team in the game sucks, but making it worse isn't the fix.

He gave up 4 straight hits after Altuve struck out leading off... No one even visited the mound... Poor kid had 7 straight hits against him... You coach with insticts... I personally would've visited the mound and at least asked how he was feeling tonight and told him he's not hitting spots and needs to make sure he's not leaving them over the plate, while trying to slow the game down for him a bit... Scotty did nothing to help the kid...

In a game where your pitcher gives up 6 runs in the 1st inning of your first MLB baseball start and your pitching staff doesn't even visit you during the inning? Shame on the coaching staff...

Ok, that's very fair. Help the kid, yes, but just yanking him would make our series chances much worse.
