It wont matter. As long as Jerruh is the owner/GM, they 'Boys are about as good as they're going to be.

Would be amazing story if true. Look into Briles history. I believe he was coaching high school before he joined Mike Leachs staff at Tech.

Nope, next time will be a forceful HC and not a patsy like JG. The next will be a Parcells type that will get control, for a short time, of all football decisions (at least outwardly). Jim Harbaugh keeps coming to mind if SF doesn't keep him next year.

I dont think anyone has a chance unless they take over control.... and more importantly sit JJ on the sidelines and not let him touch the roster.

Jerry had a couple coaches that were that type - and they didn't last long. Johnson and Parcells. There's enough room for one ego in Dallas and it belongs to Jerry.

It is going to take an embarrassing year to get to that point, but Jerry has done it before. And it lead to the team starting down the right path.

Yep, it's about time for the cycle to come full circle. Hire real coach that turns them around, watch as the team becames loaded with talent and on the cusp of being great before HC resigns, insert yes man head coach and watch as the team underachieves for a few years before all remaining talent has gone/retired and boom, the cycle starts over again until Jerry passes (which'll be another 30 years).

There are rumors that Jerrah will go after Briles or Sumlin, but honestly, I think both already have better jobs and would not go to Dallas.

NFL money is different from even SEC money.... plus these guys have egos the size of jerrys big screen. So they want to prove they can do the Pete Carrol/chip kelly/ jim harbaugh two step

The only way I see those guys moving to the NFL is if they get in NCAA trouble like Chip Kelly did at Oregon. Otherwise, both are in great spots.

You just about got the cycle right, but skipped over the part where the HC that he hands full control to that brings in talent and starts to win tells jerry to fuck off because Jerry starts trying to insert himself into decisions so people will say "jerry is a football man". :gaah:

and that annoys me because most will fail like Pete did the first time. But they know they can always come back to the SEC or other major school and get a great paying job if they fail.

To think, Sean Payton could've been the coach of this team but they let him walk. That 2007 team wins a super bowl with Sean Payton as coach and possibly another one, those rosters were that loaded.

Thats what they get for being the best of the best...... Carrol was an NFL guy that went to college after his first try at the nfl, so not really the same thing as the other college coaches that make the jump
