Eric Chavez (knee, hip) is expected to be activated from the disabled list on August 25, the first day he's eligible.
Chavez went on the DL with a sore left knee, but he's been dealing with hip stiffness for over a month. "We'll plan on 15 days and hope that's all it takes," Diamondbacks manager Kirk Gibson said. "He's getting better."

This offseason what do you guys think should be our priority in Free Agency and in the trade market? I say adding a true closer is a must and another lefty to bring out of the pen... I'd like to see KT package up some of our depth and look for an impact bat or SP.

We've been looking at the Wild Card for the past week or so... I don't think there's a damn chance we catch LA at this point.

Honestly, watching this team against the Reds all week ... they're a pitcher short and could use a little better defense behind the plate. Otherwise, the D-Backs have a nice core of talent.
