Nick Piecoro has confirmed the report, saying that Cleveland is "looking like a strong possibility" to land the outfielder. Kubel was designated for assignment by the Diamondbacks on Tuesday, but it's not a surprise that Arizona hasn't had trouble finding a landing spot for him. There's no word yet on what the D'Backs might get back in return."

That was a really good pick up for them... adding him and Marlon Byrd at the deadline was smart of them. Now that looks like a legit playoff lineup.

Morneau is finally healthy again and putting up some solid number this year.
