Happy with the Cowboys pick, but like may Cowboy fans would have been happier with Ramsey.

meh. I like guys that played like beasts in college. i watched several Georgia games and never noticed him. this guy looks like a combine star. hopefully he turns into a stud. who know?

Seen him a bunch...he falls in the freaky athlete category, but he too light in the butt to be a run stopper right now.

This looks like a trend toward getting the best athlete...and less on the tape...Steelers took a similar kind of player LY...Dupree, and they did it again with Burns last night. So far, they were right on Dupree even though he has a ways to go to be a stud.

Yes, Ryan Kelly was the type of player the Colts needed. Glad to get him.

They did it only because it was pretty well known the Giants were taking him at 10

I realize that, but is he THAT GOOD?

The Bears are actually pretty stacked at LB. OLB was arguably our strongest position last year. I realize you can never have too many pass-rushers, but giving up a pick to move two spots...he better be good. As I stated, they could've stayed pat and blindly through a dart at the board and gotten a day-one starter at 11.

I can't knock the kid b/c I've barely seen him play. Yes, S was a need, but leaving those 3 guys on the board, especially Lawson and Lee was puzzling to say the least.
There are certain packages where his position will act like a LB in our scheme. It's hard for me to say whether it's a good pick or not right now.

The pick was fine...needed a S and got one of the top in the class. We'll find out how good this kid is fairly quickly though because he's going to play early. I see him playing the same role Willie Mo did.

But, if they don't land a pass rusher or impact LB today, I think we can turn negative in earnest.

Dude, you guys have 11 picks, going forward. I think you'll be alright missing out on the bottom end of the 1st rd.
True enough but,but, but....

I wasnt a fan, and i was pretty happy the Bears made the move, BEFORE the GIants selected Eli Apple

I dont like seeing "Underachieved" next to a player in the first round

No.

I don't necessarily mind the player. I despise that we traded a 4th to move up 2 spots to get him.

In a draft where you could've thrown a dart at a top 10 big board and come away with a day-one, every down starter, we traded up to get a situational pass-rusher, at probably our most stacked position? :wtf:

Kid better be the second coming of Lawrence fucking Taylor.
Floyd is a freak athlete but he's a bit lanky. He will probably need a year or two to bulk up before he makes a big impact.

That's what I hear. Vic Fangio thinks he's landed his new Aldon Smith.

I will giggle like a school girl if that turns out to be accurate.

Minus the alcoholism, of course.

Is it just me, or is Paxton Lynch essentially the same prospect Brock Osweiler was?

Few differences. Lynch has a lot more athleticism than that of Osweiler. Osweiler would take off running and look like he was tripped by somebody and about to fall over even though he wasn't touched.

I would also say that Lynch coming out isn't as raw as that of Osweiler 4 years ago. Lynch is coming with into the NFL with 37 starts under his belt as a QB where Osweiler had around 15 games worth of experience when he was drafted. So a little more tape to go by and a lot more actual game experience for Lynch to lean on.

As for the Broncos pick yes I am happy!

I realize the Broncos are probably going to have to show some patience with the kid but they also have that luxury. He is a perfect fit for what Kubiak loves to do. He had the highest completion percentage of any QB on designed roll outs which is a huge part of the Broncos offense to keep that backside DE honest and open up the run game. He also had the highest QB rating on deep routes of any QB in this draft which again is a staple of the Kubiak system. So he has the tools to be successful. Just have to see how he does at learning how to read a defense, operate from under Center, and learn a much more complicated playbook than what he had in college.

I don't like to change my avi too often, so yeah, I'm all good with my teams shiny new prospect.
<<<<

Also, if you haven't noticed, I've already declared him SB 51 MVP and a future HOFer, so that's another decent sign that I'm warming to Lynch. Little by little, baby steps. Don't want to set expectations too high for the kid.

Yes. It's a hedge if we can't sign both Star and Kawaan, and it was the best value pick. It's a lot tougher picking at #31, gotta take BPA.

Seahawks addressed a need. They were able to trade back 6 spots, collect a 3rd (almost 4th) rounder for it, and got an OL man.
