Officiating is becoming a big problem. Too many games are being decided by horrendous officiating. If these officials are the best the league has, they need to address this in the off season. Its making the league a farce. There is too much riding on these games to have incompetent officiating determine the outcome' or at least contribute to it.

i still have yet to figure out how they awarded the ball back to Seattle when in the clear open Bowman was down by conct.
Its not like he was in a pile.He was in the wide open field of play.

And the running into the kicker penalty...The announcers harbaugh and everyone else knew the rule of the planted leg,why didn`t thee officials?

That was pathetic...........

or the push that was called that gave seattle 3pts or the nice hit on whitner or the IG on wilson on the 1st one. it was a joke. or the hold on the kick return that was clear. overall it was bad.

I don't understand how the fumble was not reviewable. It was a clear fumble and a clear fumble recovery. Harbaugh should have been able to challenge if Bowman fumbled or was down by contact. However since the officials only ruled 1 fumble on the play I guess you can't challenge it despite what really happened on the field.

NFL Rules Meeting
Voice of Reason: "Guys we should open up replay. It's ridiculous at how we can't review every play to get crucial calls correct."
Rules Committee: "Why would we review a play to get a crucial call correct? " :laugh3:

the officiating was terrible. It's sickening.

The officiating was PREDICTABLE. The NFL is less legitimate than professional wrestling. Vince McMahon was texting that officiating crew during the game offering them starring roles next year in the WWE.

What sucks is you can copy that statement and place it in 2012 and 2013 as well. We never get the big calls in big games to go in our favor. It's quite annoying to happen 3 years in a row now. Why should we have to out play the officials as well as our opponent?

Frankly, what's the point of the officials? They're subjective on EVERY SINGLE call. If they make a call, they're deciding the game. If they DON'T make a call, they're deciding the game. May as well play without them. All they do is bring legitimate questions about the legitimacy of the outcome.

Or just make all calls during play reviewable. I mean what's worst for the game a blown call that decides an outcome or taking a few minutes to get things right. Asking human beings to correctly call a fast paced game like football is ridiculous without assistance.

To be fair, I think the Falcons would disagree...

There were about 6 bad ball spots in the game too...

Actually there were about 8.....5 of which the seahawks benefited, and 3 leaned to the 9ers.
Ironically 6 of them were inconsequential, while on the other 2, each team got just a FG out of it as a result. SF's chip shot in the 1st qtr...and Seattle's 40yd FG in the 3rd.

But yeah, there was something going on.

Not blaming the refs but facts are they helped seattle a lot more yesterday. That is a fact. A lot of people in the media are talking about it. Refs gave them 6pts and that was the difference in the game.

To be fair 49ers did have their shots to win the game even with the refs helping out.

The last Seattle TD was off the back of that botched penalty call. I see 7 points unwarranted but it still doesn't excuse Kaepernick's idiotic last play. He didn't even need to go to the endzone that early. They were imposing their will offensively on that last drive.
