Lol that is the dumbest thing I have seen in awhile. Leave it to Baldinger. Easily one of the dumbest guys doing NFL TV work in the last decade of football.

He starts it before even moving the camera. "Even when Rodgers gets a good pocket". Rolls tape and pocket completely breaks down.

"He is doing the easy thing outrunning a 300 DT". That isnt easy for any QB. Let alone your 40 year old QB.

"This is a gimme" Play rolls and instantly you can see the Card defender in the flat where Rodgers cant possible lead his WR like he would want or else it would be a pick 6.

At what point do they bench Aaron Rodgers and other veterans, do they ever do that? Or do they play out the string? Davante Adams has to be the worst player ever at picking where to play.

If they had a young option behind him, the time would be now.

But they traded away their young option. Starting Tyrod Taylor doesnt do anything more for the Jet's long term over starting Rodgers.

What I read this weekend that was interesting is that Devonte Adams when he agreed to be traded to the Jets did so because Rodgers committed to playing in 2025 too. After the last couple of weeks.....do the Jet's want either back???

The Jets D being so weak has been the big surprise for me, I thought they would have a top tier D but they’ve sucked for much of the season.

AR is starting at QB for the Colts....

The Jets still have a glimmer of hope if they beat the Colts.

"Rodgers, who suffered a torn Achilles tendon last season, will turn 41 in December. His arrow is not pointing up. If he chooses not to retire, the Jets would face a choice on the third year of his three-year, $112.5 million contract. Keep him, and carry a salary cap hit of $23.5 million. Or release him and carry a dead cap hit of $49 million that could be split over the course of two seasons — $14 million in 2025 and $35 million in 2026."

The Jets had it all in this game. Communication breakdowns on defense. Dropped passes. Terrible pass pro. Rodgers can still throw...but his mobility is gone. If he plays next year...he should play for a team that can protect him.

agreed... but this week is a jets win guaranteed... they will go 500 the rest of the season... but when they lose they will look like the worst team in footballl...

to keep rodgers or not isnt entirely based on rodgers... if they have an opportunity to get a good coach they will get rid of him...

BUT, with that said, no coach is going to take the job before the jets decide what they are going to do with rodgers...

the problem is actually cyclical

I'm just glad Aaron Donald won't be in the same Hall of Fame class as this lesser Aaron

Where do the Jets go from here? Do they cut Aaron Rodgers? It's so bleak there right now after the Davante Adams trade further mortgaged the future.

I can't even begin to imagine Rodgers playing in 2025 & what it would look like. I'd like to think it can't be worse than what it is now.

Either the Jets are all-in with Rodgers in 2025, (leaving them with a $63M cap hit looming in 2026), or they cut bait before March and accelerate $35M of dead money into 2025 on top of the $14M they're scheduled to account for. For me Rodgers doesn't pass the eye test at $37.5M. Barring a significant pay cut I think they'll move on. However, I tend to underestimate QB FA values at the best of times. I have no clue what a desperate team might offer a future HoF QB icon.
