Are Cowboys really America's Team?

Only in the sense that it's their nickname. Nobody but Boy's fans thinks they're "representative of the USA" whatever the hell that means. When non-Boys fans call them "America's Team" these days they're being ironic or sarcastic... sort of like calling the Yanks the Bronx Bombers during the years they sucked.

Cowboys almost 20 straight years in the playoffs. 2 superbowls 5 trips then 3 wins to follow.

Giants... 4 Sb Wins in the last 20 years

Skins 3 in the last 30 with 4 trips

Eagles are the eagles.... not winners... but a decade of being close.

Pats... nadda til recent..... and recent doesn't buy you crap when it comes to hated

Living here in Maine Twist I get a front row view of Patsie's fans all over New England. After their fist super bowl they were already acting like they won 5 in a row. They just want what we have and have always had since 1970. Regardless of our recent 16 years of hell, (thanks to Jerry), they still can't take it away or have caught up to us. I always tell Patsy fans to just shut the hell up till they get in the same league as the Cowboys, 49ers and Steelers.

Watch a NFC East game ... any team vs any team... 90% of the time it's flat brutal.

When out teams (NFC EAST) go to the big game... they are ALL damaged...... and we still win.

Excuses don't come out of this division ..... hard core bad ass teams that play through injuries do

The Patsie's have played in the biggest candy-assed division in football the past decade. That's why they keep choking super bowls and afc titles, they are not battle tested week in and week out. When was the last time someone other than the patsie's in their division made the playoffs? I remember back with our 90's Cowboys when almost every year there was always Philly or another NFc east team as well that made the playoffs on out way to the super bowl.

A lot of that has to do with the stadium. Come 2015 the niners will probably be number one or very close to us. Forbes takes all things into consideration, such as if a team were to be liquidated and sold out right how much would it be worth. In reality we may not be as popular as you believe we are; however we do have the most expensive stadium, one of largest fan base, and an ability to generate TV revenue through as you pointed out the love hate relationship we have. I also believe that we draw interest off of who we play, and in large part hate the man all you want Jerry makes this team relevant every year due to his ability to market this team.

I think Dallas fans care less about the America's Team tag and mostly Pitt or NE fans bring it up.

Dallas has been nothing for 15 years for the most part, yet year after year their games are at the top for most viewed and they sell their stuff at the top league wide

You think it's the Pats when the Pats aren't even the most likeable team in Mass. Even when the Red Sox were on an 80-year drought, Mass was a baseball state.
