When you have to go freeze frame super slow motion and it still isn’t 100% clear, your case is weak at best.

What wouldn’t have stood is that Suggs was out of bounds. He did not get 2 feet in before he touched the ball.

Gonzaga averages 52 FGA per game over the season. Last night they shot 63 with about the same # of FTA and only 2 less TOs than average.

UCLA averages 46 FGA and took 59 last night.

I do think UCLA slowed it down at times, but at other times the game was played at a very fast pace.

Gonzaga can play fast and they can out execute anybody in half court. Last night they did both.

But I couldn’t disagree more that last night was UCLA’s pace. The game was played at a pace faster than either is used to until really the last few minutes when it slowed down.

Actually, UCLA averages about 58 shots per game. They had 1855 FGA's in 32 games. They averaged 46.1% from the field.

Gonzaga averaged 61 shots per game. They had 1916 FGA's in 31 games.

Not sure if I pulled the wrong numbers or what, but your numbers suggest Gonzaga and UCLA normally play at very similar pace.

Gonzaga is just otherworldly efficient. On Saturday night, UCLA was too.

That was my point. I don't think I explained what I was saying very well. UCLA was walking the ball up on basically every possession. But they shot it 8% better than their average.
