Anybody going to be running a SportsHoopla NFL Draft?

Last year we did one. Everybody picked a team, some had to pick multiple teams. Could trade and draft, etc... Took about a week or so to get all picks in, but was fun.

There weren't many people on the board at the time if you remember. I have a feeling itll go much quicker this year

Probably need a mod or two to run it. If I remember right we all took teams once filled, done. Rough time frame to draft (couple or few hrs or so) for each pick.

It got a bit off towards the latter rounds bc too many teams lost interest. I might suggest maybe a 4 round draft.

I'm not gonna run it but am in if we do.

We did it on the ESPN board. Everyone participating would gather in their team board's and discuss who they should pick and have a vote. Then, someone would take the pick and post it in the official thread in the Fantasy Football board. It was very fun, and helped everyone learn a lot more about the draft. Was probably hundreds of people participating.

Let's do it. Pick a team. If your team is out pick another. Last year I hit stuck with the bucs - who I don't give a shit about. But it was pretty cool. I got to learn a lot about Em and the players in the draft in general.

Its not really a hard process. Whoever runs it puts the team on the clock for one hour. Waits for the pick to be posted in the thread and records it and moves on. If they don't get a pick, auto pick the best player/need available. Which shouldn't be an issue if everyone participates. As long as everyone's on the same page with times, it goes smoothly. I'll be willing to pick for multiple teams if we can't generate enough interest. I LOVE the draft.
