We have already been over this. Mitch's time to throw in the pocket has been roughly league average this season.

And regardless... That does not change anything about him being horrifically inaccurate with a clean pocket.
His time to throw has been super short the first half of the year and his accuracy has been league average. When we throw 40 passes or less it's been better the 90% of the league.

You are saying this after you've cited statistics in this thread to try and form an argument.

Good lord, dude... Pull yourself together.
The stats are for you guys I don't pay attention to them.

No shit. We couldn't run and then we had to rely on Mitch to be able to throw the ball downfield. Where he failed epically and as a result? We go 1-5 in those 6 games.

Basically, this proves that when we need to rely on Mitch to win a game. It typically turns into a catastrophe.
No it proves football is a team sport. In games we Monty runs for over 50 yds we are 5-1.

anthony miller has 3 drops. Your reply was " I saw him drop alot of balls, box scores dont explain the "why".

Whats does THAT mean? Why did he drop the balls? .............

Why do you thin he dropped more than he did, hes balling out
He is balling out lately. Why? Because the pass blocking has improved. The first half the season the blocking was shit and he did shit why u ask? because there was no pass blocking.

Bad Oline + no run support + No TE + bad play calling + drop passes = pro bowl QB.

I did math for you guys. The numbers clearly show Trubisky is the proplem.

How many teams that had a dead-set franchise QB didn't score in 2/3 of their quarters over a season? Spoiler alert...it could possibly be 0 over the entire history of the NFL...at best, less than you can count on one hand...I'm sure of it. And I'm also certain many of them had issues with coaching...line play...dropped passes and the such.

The NFL average for bad throws is 16.75% and Mitch is at 18%.

In games where he throws less than 40 passes his off throw percentage is 13.1%.

So he's worse than league average and when he throws less he makes less bad throws?

Ground breaking information.

This correlates pretty strongly with a garbage run game

GB1- 45 passes, 17.7% 12 carries, 2.9 YPC, 2.5 Yards before contact
NO-54 passes, 22% 7 carries, 2.4 YPC, 1.31 YBC
Phi- 21 passes, 23% 16 carries, 2.9 YPC, 2.35 YBC
LAR-43 passes, 18.6% 23 carries, 3 YPC, 2.2 YBC
NYG-41 passes, 24.3% 19 carries, 2.4 YPC, 1.5 YBC
GB 2-53 passes, 26.4% 23 carries, 2.9 YPC, 1.3 YBC

Sorry to add on that because Mitch is running a lot of RPO....and making a lot of bad reads doing so....he contributes to the bad run game at times.

No blocking to go down field. QBs fault right?

Lowest yards per attempt.....fault of the coaches, GM, fans, twitter, oline, receivers, run game, water boy, owners, referees, valet guy, playcaller, weather, and god......but not the QB, right?

Look I like and think Trubisky is coming into his own and will be a very good QB for the next 10 years. I don't care if you agree. We'll see in the end who is right. Have a merry Christmas or hail satin or whatever your into. Your opinions or mine won't decide a thing. But remember who said what so we can relive it down the road.

13.1 is better then league average. Why do you like stats when you can't even read them?

You have no choice but to think that...because if he's garbage we're toast for a few years. That is all this mumbo jumbo comes down to. Trubisky failing means the Bears are going to be bad for the next few years minimum...and thus trading for him and Mack end up being moves that propelled us nowhere...A hard pill to swallow. So of course you won't swallow it. Everybody on here that is calling it like it is would be MORE THAN HAPPY for Trubisky to become the guy. It IS the best route...but...it's not happening.

He's played ok the past 6 weeks. He has never played great outside of one game vs Tampa last year.

And since he and Nagy got figured out sometime around Midseason last year, he has yet to put together 1 amazing game. There has not been 1 game (of 17 games!) since then where I could sit back and say "Holy sh*t...This dude is crazy f*cking good...Rest of NFL is f*cked." In his third year. However, there have been MULTIPLE where I sat there and thought "Good God this guy is horrible."

It's not about what you think...It's about what actually has happened.

.

I mean...seriously...This annoys me to no end. How can you be a franchise QB if you don't just go the f*ck off on a team or two over the course of 17 games?

Let's go further...for noon:

QB's under 30 that start right now along with Mitch:

Winston
Prescott
Goff
Watson
Mahomes
Garoppolo
Wentz
Carr
Mayfield
Murray
Jackson
Minshew
Darnold
Brissett
Jones
Haskins

How many of this list would the team actually trade said player straight up for Mitch? There's a few...but not many...and that list comprises half the league. Once again, as I've said with the White Sox, you can talk about how your guy is this and that until you're blue in the face...Reality is...We'd probably be better off with most of this list...which means our opponents are better off than us in the most important position in football....for a spot we traded up to #2 in the draft. Not to mention, the over 30 somethings that are clearly better. 2/3 (minimum) of the teams in football are better off than us at QB 3 years after we traded up to #2 in the draft and 2 years after we hired an offensive coach.

Trubisky and Nagy are at the core of this offensive failure. BOTH of them...and no matter what anyone says, players are on the field...so they are more important.
