injury replacement still counts.
Doesn't that count for Crabtree too, then?

unless like 50 wr's get injured crabtree isn't making the pro bowl. get fucking real here.
plenty of qb's have made it with 3k passing yards, ypa under 7, a 1:1 td to int ratio and passer rating under 90 over the past decade.
anyone who thinks crabtree has a chance at a pro bowl is

tryin to claim crabtree is having a better season than smith is beyond stupid.
The game has significantly changed over the last 3 years with the rules that favour passing, so what were pro bowl numbers 5 years ago are not anymore.
But Smith is on pace to come up short of 3000 yards.
Plenty of QBs have made the pro bowl with 3000 yards, ,7 ypa and a 1:1 TD:INT ratio.
Over the last decade there have been 10 Pro Bowls, with 6 QBs at least. Due to injury replacements, let's say 7. There have been 70 Pro Bowl QBs this decade. If "plenty" have the numbers you listed, name 7. 10% seems really short of "plenty," but it's a start.
I don't think saying Smith has a chance at the Pro Bowl is a sound definition of a sane person.

You're having trouble following along in this thread, aren't you? It would help if you weren't so far up Smith's ass.
smith is putting up better numbers than eli did when he went. eli didn't even get 7 ypa. i dont think his numbers deserved even being considered but he got in. there's the bar, even if it is too low.
fact is, we're fucking 7-1 and i don't give a shit if smith throws for 100 yards or 500 if we win. if gore is tearing up defenses why throw more?
Great strategy. When you have clearly lost the argument you were making, attempt to change the argument.
You stretched it a little too far though.
That's name recognition.
I'm still waiting for the guy with the 1:1 TD:INT ratio. Eli was better than 2:1 that year. His 21 TDs were top 10 in the league that year. Do you think Smith will be top 10 in TD passes this year?
crabtree is nothing more than a marginal starter in this league where there are 2x the positions available relative to qb's.
with 5 cupcake games coming, it is possible if edwards gets healthy.
Which has nothing to do with your argument about Smith being a Pro Bowl QB.
Because this year's Niners seems like a team that will start chucking the ball around and abandon the ground game against lesser competition.
He may have a tough time getting into the top 10 without Crabtree making plays.
why claim crabtree is a better wr than smith is a qb? smith is putting up decent numbers while crabtree isn't.
that was what started it. that crabtree was a better wr than smith was a qb. smith has numbers that has put qb's in the pro bowl. crabtree doesn't even come close
I said it's arguable that Crabtree is the better player. That doesn't mean he's having a better season. That's hard to do when Smith isn't being asked to throw the ball.
