I think that’s all in your head amigo

All three first round QB’s were non-white FYI

Racism isn’t the answer to everything

I may well be wrong here. I sure hope so. But to be clear, the point I am making is a more subtle one. Obviously all these QBs are black. But I think Stroud was subjected to criticism during his post-draft evaluation, about his smarts, that was a little questionable IMO. And he was subjected to criticism about his style of play and whether he could improvise or was a product of Ohio State's system that I think was also a little questionable. It was basically, he's a black Qb but not like those other guys and we don't know what to make of him.

I could completely see this being a factor going into the draft. OSU QBs dont have a great track record, kinda like in the past looking at Penn State RBs.

but I am not getting the race thing.

He still went #2 and should've gone #1, though.

Look at what Caleb Williams is going through? Is that racist or do all QBs just get picked apart? Heck, Maye is prototypical. If he was a position other than QB, people would be praising him left and right. If you're a QB, you get all sorts of ridiculous takes.

Need to ask, who many playoff games has Herbert won?

Second point is I think Tua is a top 10 QB, his price has dropped for upcoming contract I believe.
If its not obvious to you that Herbert is a far better quarterback than Tua, then that's a "you" issue

The Dolphins are what they've been for the last 2 years. They have a physically above average QB with a below average arm. He's raw, he lacks football smarts, and he's an RPO system QB. Within those confines he's very accurate but he's not great at reading defenses. He's not a drop back and read the field pocket passer. The HC/OC play to his strengths but he's not going to develop. The Dolphins are built with elite speed to spread the field but they've also signed a lot of injury prone players. They are built to win on offense in August through October. They might have been the most injured team in the playoffs but it's not really an excuse when you sign injury prone players. Defensively they don't tackle and they have a lot of give-up about them when it's not going their way. On both sides of the ball they're undisciplined. The only playoff question for them was when would they crash out.

I’ll bring the hot take of I think Tua is a solid QB. Who just lost on the road in -25 weather to the most experienced team and coach in the league.

Which doesn’t feel all that hot to think tbh.
Yeah the hate Tua is getting for one game in those conditions is crazy. He is still a very good if not great QB.

Did you just call Tua, Chad Pennington?

Williams is still considered by almost every one qb1 in this draft. I have heard nothing negative about him thay could point to racism. The criticisms are mostly things like "trusts his arm too much" or comments about his maturity. Which are fair when he is painting his finger nails with insults to teams that beat him.

Add in that any qb returning after a Heisman will be under a microscope and I don't see where you could pull racism from. Over critical maybe, but no different than what Manziel went through.....and you can see why concerns of maturity are a real thing there.

No really. He's much better physically than Pennington with a better arm. Pennington was especially game smart. I wouldn't trust Tagovailoa not to throw the ball out of bounds on 4th down to avoid an INT. Same way I wouldn't trust Josh Allen not to throw short of the endzone with no time or time-outs.

So to be clear a QB who put up 4,624 yards 29/14 QBR 60.7 Rating 101.1 is now crap?

You all have lost your minds over one game. Probably the same people who put Michael Penix in the top 5 after the Texas game.

Caleb's mental state is the biggest concern and he brought it entirely on himself.

Not race related at all.

I'd stop short of great

Would also add if he's that bad in wintery conditions that's a major issue for long term success.

It isn't even one game, much the last 2 failures, as much as it was the entire season of the Dolphins.

11-6 and couldn't win a game that mattered all season while punching the board for stat geeks to admire.

Under this pretense. Can we add Hurts to this category? Who actually played worse.
