Those are the check down, last ditch options that every play that is called has. It's the QB who defaults to them on 4th and 24 that is the issue.
No, they were designed plays, you can tell they were scripted. Tua wasn't checking off a few looks downfield then throwing to flat.

Need to ask, who many playoff games has Herbert won?

Same as Tua. Yet one is known for being a top talent being held back by bad coaching and the other is known for being a guy who can’t hack it when it matters.

He's an elite talent, he's just a pussy.

Hes living off Hill......

If you guys remember right,Miami got stripped of their 1st round pick for tampering with Brady and tried trading Tua to the Texans.

Ya,they thought real highly of him.

Bring in Tyreke and now hes a top qb.....gimmee s break.

It can’t be both because A) Herbert has never been in position to play when it matters and B) Tua has an offensive genius in McDaniel as his play caller and Herbert hasn’t had anyone even half as good calling his plays.

Dude, watch the plays,
Do you even know what a check down is? Do you honestly think any coordinator designed a check down as the go to play? It is not on the coordinator if a QB throws to the check down on a 4th and 24. It just isn't. It is flat out on the QB incompetence and inability to make a decision in the clutch.

As we know from our QBs check down about this time a year ago.

I’ll bring the hot take of I think Tua is a solid QB. Who just lost on the road in -25 weather to the most experienced team and coach in the league.

Which doesn’t feel all that hot to think tbh.
Chiefs made a conscious effort to spend the resources from Hill on defense. They made the pivot towards this type of ugly playoff games where you kick FGs and run the ball.

There is a good chance that the top 4 AFC teams will be led by Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen, Patrick Mahomes, and CJ Stroud. Tua is solid but he isn't on that level. I'm not sure being solid at QB is enough.

I don’t love Tua, but I thought play calling and the weather were more to blame for the poor offense

Can you make the Super Bowl with him? A lot would have to go right imo

Tua is lucky to have Hill.......without,they would be under .500.
If Mahomes still had Hill, theyd still be the team to beat every year.

And Tua is 5-6 in his last 11 games including the game yesterday, beating one good team in Dallas(fluke if I remeber right) including a loss to Tennessee......

You sum of a biotch.

I wanted them so so so bad to trade whatever it was to go get Stroud. He was one of those every 5 years kind of QBs that will compete for Championships year in and year out.

With Tua, the Fish will win 10 to 12 games a season, make the playoffs, but always an early exit and never truly compete for the AFC much less a Super Bowl bid.

Seeing Jayden Daniels has some next level potential in this year's draft, but this year's QB class seriously underwhelms me. Maybe hold on to Tua for another year and try to get Jalen Milroe in 2025. While Milroe is not a polished QB right yet, he is a freak athlete like a Lamar Jackson type with an absolute cannon for an arm.

I believe it was bad for both teams.......I live in the northern Il and right now -15 without windchill, humans are not built to be in negative weather like that......no matter where you live and dress without gloves and very little to wear.....
