Appearantly he is satisfied with those millions he got from the Lakers and is ready to call it quits and if I was him - I would consider the same - He is set for life - he can go back and get a college education and set himself up in business and be set for life and ten years from now, he will still be able to talk without a cane.

It sucks but it's one of the drawbacks to being so big.

Did you know that 30% of American born 7 footers have played in the NBA?

A lot of really tall guys have genetic defects that makes their bones (especially joints) much weaker than they should.

It's one of the reasons that tall, ultra athletic, non injury prone guys are so prized in the NBA.

Personally as many knee problems as Bynum has had he probably needs to retire and call it a day. Its not like he hasnt made any money in the NBA and has won championships.

I started to call him a quitter, but yeah - he made 50 million in his last contract with the Lakers, grabbed two championship titles and with those knees of his, he will thank himself twenty years from now when he is older and still able to walk like a normal person. Being cripled up really sucks big time

Might as well.

Can't parlay bad knees into too many more big $ contracts.

I knew he would problaby not be in the league that long when he was a Laker...this is where i cant blame the Lakers for trading him & getting Dwight, unfortunately Dwight didn't stay in LA, but either way Bynum was not going to last & the Lakers saw this

Fucking bum should have just said this when he was with the Sixers - everyone knew this when he was with them last season - I hope they all boo the heck out of him tomorrow - his comments the last few days are garbage

This is probably the best trade Mitch ever made. LA knew Bynum was done. Mitch dressed him up and sold that bucket of %$## for one of the best players in this generation.

Sixers were fleeced. Fools

The trade itself doesn't make the Sixers look good but in the end it made Doug Collins and the front office look like a bunch of dumb asses and I'm glad it happened, it got them out of Philly and now the new front office is much better and the future is bright for this team

It turns out Orlando made out best with that trade. Dwight left LA. Iggy was traded. Bynum didn't work out so well in Philly. Meanwhile, Orlando got Afflalo, Vucevic, some first round picks, and dumped J-Rich's contract.

True that Rule. But in the case of the Sixers, it was defective goods from the start. I dont imagine Phily will want to trade with LA after that!

They knew Bynum's history and were able to put him through a physical prior to agreeing to the trade. They knew what they were getting.
